Rated 2 out of 5 by Worked Well In AZ Weather We have owned this exact model for 1 1/2 years, purchased an extended warranty on it for 2 years and this summer when we tried to get it going again, nothing but hot air. I am disappointed that Homeywell has built this with a "Honeycomb" filter that the water runs through. Our tap water is seriously hard in AZ so, as the manual states, every month you should empty and clean this unit and the 2 filters that are in it. I did my duty as a responsible owner and followed the manual. Well, even with using distilled water, the honeycomb filter is trash now. Honeywell does not sell them but you can find them on a very popular website in which you pay $152 for it, (more than the entire unit costs). It states in the manual (after you buy it) that is not efficient in high humidity states. So folks, just as a good practice, if you see something online, copy the model number into your search engine and find the manual that you can download and read before you buy plus you can see what others are saying about it before you spend your hard-earned money. P.S. The extended warranty I purchased wouldn't cover the honeycomb filter because they stated that it is a "maintenance item". 04-13-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by Did not cool... Only blew hot air I am returning for a small room it wouldn't even cool the room with ice cold water. The water level didn't work either. I am going to purchase an a/c unit instead. 07-14-14
Rated 1 out of 5 by No Air Circulation I know that this isn't an air conditioner or a fan, but this thing doesn't do anything. The air in the room was still hot and there was no air circulating. It was just a loud noise maker. I plan on returning this item. 05-17-13
