great massage
Received this evening and couldn't wait to try it out. I am happy with the product but for some reason the motor sounds weak - I hope it last. I purchased a similar one for my mother as a Christmas gift a few years ago for more than double the price of this one and it did not have heat. I laid back on the sofa with it and it went all the way up my back, got my shoulders and even the back of my head b/c of my positioning! The massage felt great, the heat isn't very noticeable though. Over all I am satisfied with the product and price.

Useless
This machine is terrible. The rollers go up and down, and that's it. The heat is non-existent. The "low back" feature stops at my mid-back (I'm 5'2"). You cannot "spot" massage with this model. I have to move around in my chair to accommodate the unit. It is going back.

Excellent
If you like deep massages, this is the machine for you. Just wish the rollers went a little lower on my back. If your short like me you will love it, massages back of my neck and lower part of head.

I love the product. It is made for those who can withstand a strong massage. Not for the weak!

Great for The Physically Tensed !
I'd bought this for my brother who does extreme detailing work on luxury cars. Because he does this 6 days/week, he is literally hunched over, scrutunizing every little speck. He's often physically beat at the end of the day but can't quite unwind & relax enough to fall asleep comfortably.
He'd called to thank me profusely for this HoMedics Massage chair & stated it really worked out the 'knots & kinks' in his back. My brother is 6'1"-there were absolutely no complaints whatsoever on this model being too short or too strong.
I'm going to order another for another gitft ! Oh, locally at the Bed & Bath, CVS,etc., the prices ranged from $100-$168.00 !-There's just no way to beat QVC's price, even with s&h !

Ouch !
I gave this cushion several tries but each time it was painful and awkward. I tried to layer a bath towel over it as recommended but it was still painful. Then I put a fleece blanket on it to minimize the powerful kneading effect but this defeats the heating feature. The "lower back" mode reaches too high for my 5' 3" frame so I sat on a pillow to raise myself. The auto shut-off only allows 15 minutes of massage time. Unfortunately, it's being returned to QVC .... sorry.

Not so Good
Machine worked fine but the rollers were very hard on my back, it hurt more than it helped. . Maybe the shiastu massager would be better.I don't recommend this unit and I'm sending it back.

AAaaaahhhhhhh!
I've been wanting one of these for years but they were always too expensive in the stores so when I saw it on QVC, I jumped. The day it arrived, I ripped it out of the box and set it up. I wasn't dissapointed. The only draw back is the auto cut off.
