M29295 - Harry London 6 lbs. Assorted Chocolates in GoldHoliday Tin
Best Christmas Gift Ever!
This was my 3rd Christmas for buying/giving this fantastic 6 pound assorted chocolate tin. There is so much chocolate & every piece is individually wrapped. And so many different types of chocolate pieces. Great group or family gift. I sent one to my godson & his fellow co-workers at the Florida Highway Patrol. Great for whole offices &/or organizations as gifts. Absolutely delish! And 5 easy pay!!!! Thanks again Harry London & QVC!
I bought this last year and it was a big hit, it was delicious. This years is terrible, no taste to the candy at all. will be sending it back shortly.
I'm very disappointed with the big sell on these chocolates and what they actually produce. They are not good at all. They don't taste like chocolate except for the two that have the caramel "gravy" in them. Those are good. My first review was not accepted though I'm not sure why as there are worse reviews on here right now. Let's just say I called customer service to have them take care of it. I threw all except for a few of the caramels in the garbage and I know that's a harsh review but unfortunately I've had much, much better from cheaper chocolates and I wouldn't waste my calories on these, nor would I feel good about giving them to all the people I was going to.
As A Gift
I ordered this as gift and it is being mailed directly to them. I do hope they are good. The reviews are making me nervous. I ordered a different Harry London candy last year for myselft and they were good. Have they changed?
Terrific assortment and great value!
I really REALLY don't understand the negative reviews on this. I have purchased far more expensive chocolates for many years and while these may not be as pretty they are certainly as delicious and it's abt $10 a POUND! High end gourmet chocolate is $35 a pound and up!
LOVE the present shaped liquid caramels and the toasted coconut the best but it's all good. My one complaint would be the Pecan fudge stars which have very little pecan in them. Also my tin was dented in shipping but that's not Harry London's fault. It was for our own use so I didn't bother sending it back. I am currently trying to implement portion control so the individual packaging is great!
This is a case of you get FAR more than you pay for if you know anything about gourmet chocolate. Highly recommend.
worst tasting candy
I ordered harry london truffels and i must say after trying some of them, i was shocked
that candy tasted like crisco, needles to say that i wouldnt spend any more money, to send them back, the trashcan is the place for them, i also learned a lesson and that is never order anything to eat.
Not as good as previous years
For several years, I ordered a similar Harry London tin and shared it as many small gifts for coworkers and teachers. This year, we sampled the tin and the selections are not as good as last year. For example, the pink things are waxy and not very good. Last year there was a dark chocolate raspberry that was heavenly. One of the other types this year is very dry inside... I don't know if it's Hazelnut or what it is. The candies aren't labeled so it's not easy to tell what you're selecting. Honestly, I'm embarrassed to share these with coworkers this year and will have to buy another brand. So, for me this was not a good value this year.
I purchased 2 of the holiday 6 lb tins to fill containers with and give out as gifts - I received them today and opened one and we all took a candy - they are horrible. First they all tested the same and they really had no chocolate taste, they tasted old and stale. I am returning both tins - I can't justify the $$ amount for them. The cheapest brand of chocolate that I have had through the years has been better tasting than these.
Brought this 6lb assortment to be given as 3/ 2lb bag gifts. The tin contained 1 peacan fudge star, 3 strawberry clusters 4 white choco. carmels and 5 dark choco carmels out of "6 lbs" of candy - so disappointing! The taste was not so great also; have eaten better tasting cheaper chocolates. I have eaten LH boxed chocolates sent from a relative in Ohio which was very good - this chocolate tasted nothing like that - tasted like something you would purchase in a bargain store. Was tempted to sent back, but didn't. Will not order this brand again.
Quite a bargain! Check out Harry London's on site and you will see what I mean. I especially love the caramels and the white ones with like fudge inside..Check candy prices at the store, $3.00 a bar...Only candy I think is better begins with an S...lol
Where's the menu?
I normally by Godiva chocolates for the holidays but thought this would be a much better value but the taste is just so-so. I agree with the other reviews about the chocolate being hard. Most importantly, there's no "menu" of what the flavors are, I had to watch the video and make notes of what each flavor is.
Better Chocolates Available
I ordered this a couple of years ago and was very disappointed. It was awful and nobody would eat it after trying the first piece. The only thing I can say is you got a lot of candy for the money. But if nobody will eat it, what kind of value is that. It was all thrown out and QVC refunded my money. I appreciate that my money was refunded but can't believe they still carry this product. QVC offers many great tasting food items. In my opinion, this isn't one of them.
