About QVC Sheets

Thread Count
Thread count refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. Thread count alone does not ultimately determine softness, but it does predict the weight and airflow of the fabric. All QVC sheet sets offer a minimum thread count of 300, with select sets measuring in with a thread count as high as 1,000.

Fast Facts
A sheet with a high thread count may not yield a softer sheet. Softness comes from a combination of factors including the weave, type of cotton, treatments (such as an anti-wrinkle coating), and thread count. Depending on the manufacturing processes, sheets that contain a thread count of 300-400 can be as soft or softer than one with a thread count of 1,000.

Traditional Blend
The traditional blend utilizes cotton's natural ability to allow fabrics to breathe and wick away moisture. This blend mixes long and short fibers when twisting them into threads.

Egyptian Cotton
Widely considered to be one of the highest qualities of cotton available, Egyptian cotton is grown in Egypt and consists of fibers which are longer, resulting in a silkier thread.

Supima® Cotton
This is the name used to promote textile and apparel products made with 100% American Pima cotton, grown in the southwestern United States. The staple length of Supima is 35% longer than regular cottons. This increases softness and luster. And since fewer fiber ends are exposed, it minimizes the effects of abrasion, resulting in less pilling. The Supima trademark is a registered trademark of Supima Association of America.

The type of weave and construction used for sheets can vary from ornamental to something functional. Variations in weave and fiber used in sheet construction will affect the characteristics of the cloth. Some fibers and constructions will breathe more and other combinations can keep you warm and cozy.

Consists of a twill weave with threads layered over one another, exposing a longer thread on the fabric surface. Imparts a smooth, silky feel against the skin.

Made with a balanced and closely woven plain weave. The percale construction is both durable and smooth to the touch. Sheets made with 100% cotton percale feel smooth and crisp to the skin.

Pique sheets are designed to achieve a textured appearance with a soft touch. Its high and low texture is created during the knitting or weaving processes. Pique construction is made by spinning two yarns together to create a stronger yarn that's soft and supple.

Wrinkle Defense® Technology
The Wrinkle Defense process is designed to decrease the appearance of wrinkles for up to 50 wash cycles. It provides a durable, soft, and smooth sheet surface when the care instructions (included) are properly followed.

Flannel is a material that's woven and put through a brushing process that lifts the threads to create air pockets that impart a soft and fuzzy feel. When comparing flannel sheets, look for weight rather than thread count. A quality flannel material is in the 5-6 oz range.

Jersey Knit
Threads in a jersey knit material are knit around one another rather than woven. This construction gives the fabric some stretch (or "give") for a soft and comfortable feel. It feels like sleeping in your favorite T-shirt!

Polyester is often used in this sturdy and durable material with manmade threads. It's also easy to care for, has fewer wrinkles than comparable sheets, and looks great with prints and bright colors. Sheet sets with a higher weight are often brushed for a soft, suede-like feel.

This fabric is soft, comfortable, warm, dries quickly, and is durable for long-lasting good looks.

Jacquard refers to both a type of loom weave and the cloth produced by such looms. The jacquard process allows for intricate designs and textures to be woven into the material itself.

One of the oldest manufactured fibers dating back to the 1880s in France, rayon was originally developed as an alternate to silk and has a naturally smooth and soft texture. The material has strong moisture-wicking properties to help keep you cool and comfortable.

Hanes Jersey Knit Beefy T-Shirt Queen Sheet Set 3 5 11 11
SOOO COMFORTABLE We both love these jersey sheets, it's like wearing my hubbys comfortable white T-Shirt. Good for hot or cold weather. All our never endings just relax when we slip into bed at night. Wash & wear great! Thank you. 09-11-13
Not Good Very hard to work with these sheets. They are always wrinkled. Very hard to get them neat on the bed. They stick to everything. Very thin and totally lose their shape. The only thing good is that they are soft just like a comfy tee shirt... that's about it! 07-30-13
So soft and comfy!! I ordered these sheet sets on clearance; the medieval blue and the chino. I guess I didn't realize, or had forgotten that they were made by Hanes but, let me tell you, they feel exactly like a Hanes t-shirt! They are soft and wonderful and cozy and keep you all snuggly warm at night!! I was hesitant to order a set, much less TWO, seeing as there are so many negative reviews, but I am so glad that I did! I have nothing negative to say, as of yet anyway, about these sheets. I am actually thinking about ordering additional sets for myself and my daughter, who is going away to college, before they disappear!! Lovelovelove these sheets, and the value is CRAZY GOOD!! 07-26-13
love the sheets I purchased these sheets because I just got a king size bed and I have been using Jersey sheets for a few years since I first bought them from QVC. Northern Nights. I can't sleep in anything else now. They are just cozy.I couldn't find any Northern Nights and these were on sale. I don't understand the other reviews. I have no pilling or balls or whatever. Maybe they need to learn how to wash and dry properly. I don't mean to be disrespectful but there are people who put too much in the machine or something. I le with my daughter an I know this from watching her do laundry Buy them and wash as directed. 07-07-13
Great summer sheets!! I wanted a summer sheet to take the place of my winter fleece sheets -can't sleep on fleece when it is 100 degrees! These sheets are exactly what they are called;t-shirt material and I love them! They wash beautifully and don't wrinkle. I only wish they came in more colors. They are cool to sleep on and are very comfortable. None of the problems that some of the reviewers stated. You can't beat the price! 06-25-13
previous reviews not correct for me Read previous reviews and they were not good. So, I did not buy sheets. But then, they were on clearance price and 5 easy pays and could not resist trying them. Sooo glad I did. Just received sheets and put them in washer and dryer. They came out perfect and soft. NO piling or balls like other reviews had said. They did not fade. Color looks vibrant. Can't wait to sleep on them. Usually rely on reviewers. I am sure they are usually correct. Just glad I took a chance this time. 06-22-13
Terrible These sheets are terrible. They pilled with the first wash. They look old. No way I can continue to use. My Target jersey sheets are at least 3 years old, used and washed weekly because I love them so much, no pills whatsoever! QVC needs to refund my money. 04-07-13
Terrible!!!!!!! I have washed these sheets only once and they have gotten balls they look like I have had them for years very cheap material!!!!!! In the garbage they go 03-20-13
Balled up after first washing Got balls all over after first washing and ironically customer service told me that they were supposed to do that! I don't know about u but I can't stand rubbing my feet a crossed the roughness of those balls! What poor quality I can't believe they are selling these... 03-15-13
Poorly Made Sheets When I received these sheets I noticed the top sheet ends were just barely rolled over/hemmed like a tee shirt but I thought I would give them a try. They kept rolling and was the most scratchy (even after washing) and uncomfortable sheets I have purchased. Sorry to say I am sending these backs 02-19-13
Going back! I jumped to order these sheets when they first came on air, because they are made by Hanes. Well, they've been on my bed for three days and I can't stand it anymore. They catch on my skin as I move in bed and then start pilling. This morning, after little sleep, I took them off and sent them back. I trust QVC's quality control department, so these slipped through the cracks somehow. It's too bad, as I really wanted to try these sheets-I have the 500 thread counts and the polar fleece-I thought these would be a nice change.I gave them two stars because they did fit the mattress well and I liked the color. Let's see if anybody else has this issue or if it's just my sensitive skin... 02-01-13
