HairMax Lux 9 Hair Growth LaserComb
I purchased this for my son. He has thinnnig at the top of his head. I have to admit after 12 weeks there was some thickening and I did notice a difference. However, I also noticed a rash in the spot that was being treated and what looked like a little "bubbling" of his scalp. He followed directions. He wanted to continue but I was afraid that this would get worse and could lead to problems . Don't know if anyone else experienced this. Too bad since it did seem to have some effect. Returned it
I purchased this product last year. Used it as specified and didn't see any results. Went to my dermatologist and he confirmed that no visible results were present. My dermatologist used a UV light years ago on my scalp and it worked perfectly which obviously had terrific results but this product is a bust. The light isn't right and the product is just not worth the amount of money the company asks for it. I couldn't return it because it was past the 4 months. I assumed the product was a great one and waited to use it and when I did use it regularly, I saw no new hair growth. Don't waste your money people...Go to your dermatologist and find another answer to your hair loss. This is NOT IT.
I have had thinning hair for the past 25 years....thinning on top. I was really encouraged when I saw the HairMax, so of course I decided to purchase it. I recently had weight loss surgery, so I was getting even thinner on top than usual because of the rapid weight loss. I have been dedicated about using HairMax, however....I don't see any improvements in the 7 months I have used it. Even though it has a guaranteed return in 4 mos time, I didn't return it because I was so hopeful. Sad to say, I still use it but I really don't see any improvement at all :(
HairMax Lux 9 Hair Growth Laser Comb
I used this three times and it stopped working! Will return it and hopefully a new one will work. There is supposed to be a reset spot on the handle, but there is none. I had others in the family try to find it and it is not there. This is very disappointing. As a result, I can only rate it based on this experience.
WORKED WONDERS FOR MY HEREDITARY HAIR LOSS!!
I bought this with small hopes in July. I figured I didnt have a anything to lose with the 4 month return and the 6 month payment plan. So I started the 3 time a week regimin, and I have to say there were a few weeks I didn't get 3 treatments in. But I will say I usually do 2 11 minute treatments at once. I move the comb slower and shorter than it says because I want to make sure my entire scalp is getting the treatment. I am very happy to say I have a huge difference. When I look in a mirror I used to be able to see my entire scalp under my hair from the top down the sides. Now its just at the part and even that is slowly getting thicker. My stylist was the first to notice the regrowth after just a few weeks. And it was a couple months before my husband really noticed. I also found that the areas where my hair is shorter is where the comb seems to have the fastest effect. That is why I started doing 2 cycles to make sure I covered the entire scalp. If you have long hair you really need to follow the directions about moving layers of hair away as you move the comb. I have hereditary hair loss on the top snd sides thanks to my mom. But thanks to this comb the loss has stopped and regrowth is happening. And like they asked" would you like new hair for Christmas?" in July, I will have new hair for Christmas. The best gift my hubby ever got me. So if you are wondering whether or not you should give it a try, all you have to lose is the shipping. And for the chance at new hair, take it from some one who went from 2 full lusious pig tails in high school down to one skinny thin tiny pony tail, its worth the try. Oh a nd im only 36.
This comb works but you have to stick with it. It took a couple of months before I could really tell it was working. but now, 8 months later, I still use it ever other day and I think my hair looks better than it has in years. My stylist can't believe the results I have gotten. I am still getting new growth. I am delighted. My hair was so thin you could clearly see my scalp. Now I have "normal" hair again.
Lost power. Too expensive had to return not replaced. Thought it may have been working but it is too expensive to risk "no power" again.
It gives the result it promised. My hair got thicker and darker after a month over of use. Would recommend this product.
Patience is Required
I've used as directed for almost 6 months. Yes, my hair is thicker. My problem is common enough--hair thinning as I age. Anyway, it is subtle results for me. I think watching it grow everyday is impossible. But with people I don't see very regularly, I almost always get a positive reaction as re my hair. Where I can see it most definitely is in the bang area. I don't use a mirror very often to check hair, but again, friends say it is really is thicker.
Don't get impatient! I've gone from hair loss to practically no hair loss.
Received this device in August and immediately began the 3 day a week process. Made sure that I fit the criteria, I might add, before ordering. So far I have grown very little new hair and what few I have grown are sparse and thin (another detail that I expected, but that's not ever stated in the demo). Medical professionals cannot seem to pinpoint exactly why I lost so much hair within a 3 month period. This never happened to my mother or grandmothers and test results are all negative. So...since I was really weary of seeking answers from the medical community, I decided to give this device a shot. I use it religiously and have had no problems with it charging and working. BUT....my scalp is becoming very, very dry. I can only assume that the comb has something to do with this latest development. Now...I am aware that 26 weeks is supposedly the magic number..after all, the hair cycle itself is about that length of time. And I have to agree with some of the other reviewers who feel that the return policy should be just that...26 weeks. There is one thing that I really like about this device....makes my hair APPEAR fuller and thicker...smoke and mirrors--gotta love it. At any rate, this apparently works well for some and not at all for others. So...if you're a gambler...go ahead and try it...just remember that it will take 26 weeks, at least, to see decent results (if it works, that is).
We bought one in July 2013. My husband was using it and had some regrowth, but the laser light stopped working last night (within 4 months of our purchase). We are returning it for a refund. Getting a replacement is more risk than we care to take. Who knows if the same thing would happen to the next one?
Worked for this 65+ female!
I have been using the Lux 9 LaserComb for 15 weeks, 3x a week and have seen (what I consider to be) great results. My hair loss was a little embarrassing to me as it was more noticeably on the temples and upwards to where I lost my widow's peak. I didn't expect much since the loss has been going on for a least 5 years. I started taking Viviscal three years ago to keep my hair loss to a minimum (works great) but it didn't help with the "permanent" thinning out I already had. (My hair falls out in gobs when I stop taking it.) I had also stopped using it for about three months and restarted when I started using the LaserComb.
I've had a regrowth of hair, especially on my left temple where I had a noticeable patch of scalp showing. It slowly but very visibly filled in. Even my widow's peak has a few hairs growing back in! (That's about as much as I expect). The hair growth is finer, and I don't know yet if it will thicken, or if "regrowth" of lost hair will continue, but I'm very happy with the results and think it's worth the money I paid.
Please note that the info provided states that you may have some initial hair loss with the LaserComb, and explains why. I ignored the hair "gobs" loss and kept using the LaserComb. I'm very glad I did. My husband started using it about one month after I did and has also had some results. Hope my review helps someone.
