Haan Indoor/Outdoor MultiForce Plus Scrubbing Steam Cleaner w/ Acc.
BEST cleaning appliance you will ever buy!
I had an original Haan and loved it but decided to upgrade to this. The housekeeper and I both give it an A+ and don't know how we lived without it. It does all the scrubbing and muscle power for you. I ran errands this morning while the housekeeper did all of the floors in my house and when I came home - even without a candle burning - I spelled "clean" when I walked in. Having a home full of pets, that's just remarkable. She said (and I noticed) that the hardwood floors looked buffed this morning and looked more brilliant with the new cleaner. I've studied the designs of all the steam cleaners and, in my opinion, Haan is the best. This one tilts and pivots which the housekeeper went wild about. She said the only draw back was that the cord was shorter. I looked them both up online and she was correct: the older one had a 25' cord and this one has an 18' cord, so I would tell Haan to definitely bring back the 25' cord. Please don't discontinue this type of Haan cleaner! You also listened and shipped it with more pads! It comes with eight and I will use two pads per room in my house and I like extra in case I don't get to the laundry right away, but need to clean the floor and have clean pads. The only color is red but it's a beautiful color. AND you can turn off the buffing part and just have steam cleaning if you want.
NOT FOR CERAMIC FLOORS
Just lightly skims over the floor, and doesn't even touch the grout. Should have had my "common sense" brain in motion and thought it through. The tiles are a bit higher than the grout, consequently, it just skims over the grout, spurting steam, so I had to mop up after my attempt at grout cleaning. Although heavy, the scrubber part is light, so it also didn't have enough force to clean my beautiful, expensive, prized terrazzo floors either. since it was not as described, I will request I be reimbursed for shipping once again. My new year resolution was to return all that didn't "do" as stated, and so far am hundreds of dollars ahead. Hooray.
Repeating - with edits what some have already written - I purchased primarily because of the brushes thinking it would clean the grout on my porcelain tile in my kitchen. It doesn't appear that it cleans any better than my Spin Mop. With the scrubbing motion and the "turbo" steam setting, going slow, AND repeatedly going over 2 grimy areas - I just really felt like the floor wasn't getting clean. I decided to spot check with a wet paper towel and lo and behold - it came up dirty. The reach is not particularyly good, the cord on my Dyson vac is at least 2 feet longer than the Haan. However, it is light-weight and very easy to maneuver, I'm not impressed with the cleaning for the money. I’m returning it.
Worth the wait!
The Haan steamer completely lives up to the promises made on the show. Easy to use!
Not what I expected
I was so excited to get this steamer --does not live up to what I expected. It was confusing to use, left the floor wet and the electric cord is so short I couldn't even do one room without unplugging and replugging! This was sooooo frustrating! I have it packed up, ready to return tomorrow.
Don't spend your money on this
I have hard wood floors that need to be sterilized every day. I needed something that could take the above average use. 1270 sq feet to clean everyday. It died 60 days after I got it. The water would not pump to create the steam. Finally got that cleared up and then I plugged it in the next morning and heard a pop sizzle and the motor burned out. I went to walmart and got a $69.00 shark and haven't had any problems with it.
Not what I expected
This products works OK. But I soon found out It was more work to put togather each time for no more than I would be using it. Most of my floors are hardwood.
I purchased primarily because of the brushes thinking it would clean the grout on my ceramic tile in my kitchen. It doesn't appear that it cleans any more than using the regular Hahn Steamer. I'm debating returning it, just hate the loss on shipping charges.
Steams stops working after a few uses
This seemed like a good, green alternative but after only four, possibly five uses, the steam stopped working. Inquiries sent to Haan yielded no help -- it was over the one year warranty.
I suggest customers NOT buy this expensive product that is usable for so few times and then has to be discarded (how green is that!).
No Replacement Parts for Alaska or Hawaii
Hi, I actually like this steamer. It has its flaws (short cord) but is easy to use. However, 6 months into using it occasionally, the water tank cap broke. I called Haan for a replacement part, apparently they don't realize that Alaska and Hawaii are states. They will not ship replacement parts to these states not UPS, not USPS, nada. It's a $5.00 part. In my frustration, I contacted QVC - their customer service line was very empathetic and they're going to see what they can do despite it's past the 30-day return date. I shall also contact Haan again, in the form of a written letter, to see about honoring their warranty (which is one year). I will not purchase a Haan product again knowing they do not service my state. I requested that QVC please identify products where the manufacturers only service certain states in the future.
Haan, please make replacement parts available to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.
I shall now try to find a third-party company to source a part. Disappointing!
Great idea...poor quality
Used this product a total of seven times.....scrubber stopped working. Great idea but Haan needs to build a better product.
As a steamer is worked great, but the scrubbing feature broke after only 5 uses.
