Haan Agile Sanitizing Steam Mop w/Features forManeuverability
Not for me
Just recently purchased this steamer, it got so heavy I couldn't push it. Just not worth the money, sending it back.
New versions are trash
I had a old Haan about 5 years ago, it was awesome got so hot i was disappointed this one does not get that hot, and like everyone mine broke after 4 months or 16 uses. It is a waste of money. I did call customer service they did help but i had to pay for shipping both ways and some how find a box.
With loving care
I purchased this Haan 2 years ago directly from Haan. I use distilled water for cleaning and clean with this mop at least twice a week. If you are using tap water, you will get calcium build up that ruins the steam mop. I give it 4 stars only because the mop doesn't get into the grout.
I bought the FS20 model from QVC on 11/26/11 and today (10/24/13) it would not turn on. I called QVC who couldn't do anything but give me Haan's customer service line. Haan would not troubeshoot, fix it, or accept as a repair or return. They only offered me $10 off a new Haan with free shipping. After reading the other reviews, looks like I agree that it only works for a while and then just dies with no company support....
Only lasts a year
As with the other reviews, this product is great when it works, but only lasts about a year. I have purchased three now. I've called Haan each time and they are less than helpful. To bad, because when it works, it's amazing. Each time mine died right after warranty expired.
Deader than a doornail!
It completely stopped working after a year. Actually, after about 6 months, I noticed streaking and had to go over the floors again with a microfiber cloth.
Not good for textured ceramic tile floors
I truly wanted to love this product because it cleans with steam not chemicals, but it just deposited dirt into the textured areas of the tile as well as within the grout lines. This machine works great on floors that do not have textures, but doesn't clean floors that have peaks and valleys from texture or grout lines.
I bought a similar version of the Haan floor steamer quite some time ago from QVC. The switch wouldn't work after using it about 8 times, so I had to leave it in the on position & plug & unplug it when I wanted to clean. I gave up on it after about 15 uses as it would only emit steam on occasion. Steep price to pay for a a few weeks of use.
Best Steamer Ever Purchased
I have been a fan of floor steamers since the first "Enviro Steamer" came onto the market. I loved that little machine as it had a nubby, waffle pad but it did not go under furniture because the water was held in the tank on the base as opposed to in the handle. Unfortunately, the company was bought out (I think by Shark but am not sure) and disappeared. So, I tried the Shark, which was the worst of the bunch as it left gobs of water trails on the floor and broke quickly. The pads just got too wet and were not nubby enough to remove dirt. Then I tried another brand that worked OK. Then came the Haan. I love it. It is very light weight and simple to use. I have hardwood floors and ceramic tile and it handles them like a champ. My only complaint was that the cord was short but it has been lengthened on newer models. I do buy extra pads and change them often to do my whole house. I can use up to 8 if I have had a lot of traffic as my home has no carpet in any rooms. The pads, which I think are the secret weapon, do wear down after awhile and you have to replace them. I also empty the water out of the tank. But I just love the machine. There really is no other better one on the market. Mine has been working fine for over two years. I use it once or twice a week.
Would not recommend for tile that is not smooth.
I have had this product for over a year now. I am not sure if it is the flat pads or the cleaner itself... I have ceramic tile, with the divets or textures areas (not completely flat and smooth). Water from the steamer gathers in these small areas and is not absorbed by the flat cleaning pads. I can go over the areas with a bucket of soapy water and brush and actually see the dirt that lifts from these tiny spaces. I may try the Shark that has the textured shaggy type pads.. they may work better.
It only lasts about a year
As some of the other reviewers have indicated, the steam mop works great for about a year and then it dies.
Love Hate Relationship
I was torn on how to review this item simply because when it worked I loved it - did everything it promised to do and I felt good about cleaning without chemicals. I live in a small apartment therefore over a year I only used my Haan a few minutes once a week according to instructions - then it stopped steaming. I contacted Haan, not so helpful, but I ried their suggestions - no luck. That was alot of money to throw away. So bottom line, when it worked I loved it, when it stopped, not so much.
