Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect I don't understand the negative reviews. Last year got a chromebook for myself and it has lasted quite well. Got this computer for my daughter for school. She is a music major. She loves the weight of it and holds a charge for several hours. Her old computer was heavy and freezing up. She downloads tons of music on it and does all homework. She works for Guitar Center while going to school. She is in charge of all the music lessons there. She does all this on this little computer. I don't understand the negative reviews. She loves it, she is gaming on it and you can't run a corporation on it, but it s great for a student or someone like me....I think it was a great gift and the cobalt was so much prettier in person. 01-07-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Laptop for a great price! I brought this laptop for my teen daughter and she loves it. Nice color, fast performance, great for her online homework. 01-04-17
Rated 1 out of 5 by Started off great but then screen had issue After 7 days of use the screen cracked spontaneously at the edge where the plastic case and the screen join. The crack is behind the glass. It was not dropped, bumped in to anything, it was just sitting on a table and when I picked it up to use it it the screen was damaged. I'm stunned to say the least b/c there has been no damage done to the computer. The outer case feels very thin and cheaply made. The only silver lining is the crack is behind the glass so luckily I didn't cut my hand. 01-01-17

Rated 2 out of 5 by Very slow I ordered this for my husband's Christmas gift and when we opened it it was beautiful. But the moment we started it up it was slow it was lagging and It wasn't even open on the Internet. Every time we just try to open a simple application it was very slow 12-29-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Slow I bought the Cobalt Blue for my 14 yr old daughter for Christmas and Violet for myself, the colors are beautiful but the Violet laptap sucks. My home computer is 4 yrs old and this laptop being unboxed for 3 days is as sluggish as my home computer. Also the touch pad is not very sensitive at all, I have to really push it quite often to get it to work right you can"t just tap it. I really would not recommend the computer at all. 12-11-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful I got this computer because it was in expensive and I needed something immediately being that I'm in school and my last computer gave out on me. I haven't had this laptop a week and I'm already sending it back. It freezes constantly and moves extremely slow. I can't get anything done due to me having to keep restarting it from it freezing. 12-05-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Computer IF You Know What You're Getting! If you know anything at all about computer specs, you know this is not a computer you can reasonably expect to play video games on, or download tons of music and movies, or store/ edit images or videos. This IS, however, a GREAT little computer for writing. It comes with a terabyte of storage on the cloud (which can be accessed anywhere from any computer as long as you've got internet access). It has Microsoft Office and one of the best keyboards I've ever had the pleasure of using on a portable computer. I've had mine for about four months now. I bought it for the sole purpose of portability because I'm a student. I have a larger laptop with a terabyte hard drive that I use at home but it's a 15" screen and a tad annoying to lug around, not to mention the battery dies on a full charge after only two hours, even after manually changing all the power saving junk (you know, screen brightness, programs running the background, etc. etc.) Such is to be expected (generally) from a bigger computer with a larger processor, but that's neither here nor there. This little 13" hp Stream holds a charge for 5 hours, up to 7+ if I have the screen brightness turned all the way down (which is still surprisingly bright!) This computer also comes in an 11" version in case you want something even more compact but I prefer a slightly larger screen for the purposes of writing papers (lots of tabs and pages open at once, I need that extra space!) I've also found that it works fine for streaming Netflix and Youtube when you wanna procrastinate, just be sure to clean your cash/ cookies and Registry every once in a while [which is general computer maintenance that you should be doing on any computer anyway, but it's much more necessary here considering how little storage space you've got.] I would not recommend this computer for someone's only computer, but it's wonderful for a travel computer that you don't want to have to worry about. If it breaks, drops, gets lost, no biggie, it's at a super affordable price point (especially when the flex-pay is available) and it's wonderful when you know what you're getting. In short, I love typing on this thing and I love being able to throw it in my bag and go and access my papers and projects from other computers at any time. My only complaint is that the touch pad isn't very sensitive so it misses a click here or there, but not a big enough deal to detract from how great this little thing is. 12-02-16
