Love my Slate I just recieved my slate a few weeks ago and I love it. It downloads very fast and I was able to get on to the internet faster than my labtop. My camera takes beautiful piuctures and the sound is very nice with Dre Beats ear phones. Great purchase! 09-19-13
disappointed Got this tablet for my 12yr old daughter. She was disappointed that she was unable to get on instagram. Other than that it worked great for about a month & then it would not hold a charge. Bought a new charger for it & it still wouldn't hold a charge. After trying to find a solution to my problem on the internet I found out it is a common problem with the hp slate 7. Returned it & just got a refund. Plan on just going with a samsung note or somethi g similar. 09-17-13
Somewhat a let down I purchased this for my 13 year old. Of course kids are on the social networks and this tablet don't allow access to Instagram and my child does not like it. 09-16-13
On the fence... I am loving the red! I like the Quad Core processor in this and that is why I ordered it. As well as it being smaller than my 10.1" Sony Xperia. I wanted something a little smaller to toss in my purse. Only down side is that this is heavier than my bigger tablet. Also I am very petite and have small hands. I can barely fit my small hand around it. I have to use both hands to hold it :( Other than that it seems to be working right now. Also, it was showing pop ups for updates already when it is brand new device. I thought that was rather odd. If something is brand new ...it should not require updates already! So, I will try it out for the 30 days and see how it goes. 09-07-13
good product good price... I love my slate. I've had it for a couple months now. It's fast, the speakers are great and the price is even better. I accidentally spilled water on it luckily no damage. it hasn't skipped a beat. 08-28-13
awesome tablet! I have had this tablet for about a week now and I cannot put it down. I knew I wanted a tablet but didn't know much about them or pricing. I looked a few other places before looking at QVC, and could not find a decent price, something I could afford so in the end I came here. I found this HP Slate and viewed the video. I was able to purchase it solely because of easy pay. This is a great tablet and I would highly recommend it. There is so much to do on it and the Zinio magazine offer is great also. Love reading my favorite books and magazines on this tablet. Great purchase! 08-07-13
Awesome tablet! Perfect for my kids! I have two boys so I have to buy 2 of everything. Bought 2 of these and they are the perfect size for them! They will get these for Christmas and 6 easy payments even better! 07-28-13
hp slate I don't understand why some people give such a negative review for this tablet. One person tried to compare it to a nexus which is ridiculous because the hp is $199 and the Nexus is over $300. It takes time to figure out everything and it isn't hard to put apps on it either. I am very happy with it. It has great volume for such a small device. I listen to my music on it and read books I downloaded on it. There are so many things you can do with this. Sure is fun to use. I really like the live wallpaper as well. It works great with Wi-Fi. I am still learning about other things you can do on it. 07-21-13
great tablet about to stab myself and I like it and I have never seen a tablet looks like this one I can talk to it and it records everything I tell it to do and everything so it uses send emails to anyone out there all you gotta do is speak to Word and it records everything you say and topped it out just like a typewriter I have never seen nothing like this tablet before the best local I have seen in a long long long time I enjoy this tablet each and every day 07-19-13
Mixed Bag 1. PRO - Nice little tablet for the price; works well for most of my business applications 2. CON - Not the right tablet for everyone! Gamers and those using various streaming video and audio media players TAKE CAUTION, this tablet DOES NOT support the full range of applications from Google Play; I do not have the ability to run several of the applications I enjoy most (disappointing) 3. CON - Does not run/support Adobe Flash; thus many Internet media applications will not be viewable. 4. PRO - Processor is sufficiently fast and smooth on all of my applications 5. CON - ZINIO FAILED TO HONOR THE $50 voucher bundled with this tablet (2 weeks and still waiting for specified magazine subscriptions) 6. PRO - Nice size for business; placement of hardware good; solid tablet (aluminum frame); attractive. 7. CON - The USB cord that allows you to plug into the AC/power adapter is by far TOO SHORT; ALSO; battery life is really unimpressive. All in all, it has been a mixed bag review but I'm going to keep the tablet. It's OK for the price but if you have a few more dollars to spare you might want to consider something more robust. 07-08-13
Great, Just Not For My Purposes Well, I'll say this first - it is a sleek, sturdy, sharp looking little thing. And the speakers are clear and go up to a decent volume for such a small product. I gave this only four stars because the exclusive reason I got the Slate was because this tablet was at the very top of the list when it came to what tablets can do with video editing. And being a video person, that's all I needed this lil guy to do. Obviously this review is probably only relevant to other 'video' people, but that's my review. :) It does have a decent looking video editor already on it, but it's very limited to what formats the video has to be in, and if the video is anything longer than 20 seconds, it takes about fifteen minutes to completely load on the video editor. There are apps available, some better than the pre-installed one on the tablet, but overall they have the same issues. It's my own fault for trying to get a basic tablet to fill my video editing needs. My laptop had all but pooped out and I was hoping to find something to do basic editing on a fast device. If you're not a video person, though, I imagine this thing is just a dream. :D 07-07-13
