I was hesitant to order this skirt after reading the reviews and because of the length since I'm only 5'3". I studied the size chart for this particular design and decided to order the grey in small, knowing we can return anything in 30 days, no questions ask. I ended up ordering the black as well and I am SO glad. The fabric is cut perfectly and the workmanship is excellent. Yes, the fabric is a little heavy when you are holding the skirt in your hand. But when you put it on, it doesn't feel heavy. As described, there is a lot of material in this skirt. The excess fabric is tucked into two inward folds, one on either side of the front. It moves beautifully when you walk, like Ginger Rogers or Katherine Hepburn's clothes in a 1930's movie. You know the designer's hand was true on this skirt -- for fabric, cut and fit. The "belt" detail is simply some decorative fittings set on the waistband. Nice touch to define the waistline. On the Small size, the relaxed waist is 30", and for me the bottom of the hem is 4" above the floor in my bare feet. It gets cold in winter where I live and we get some snow. The grey skirt will be great with boots for work and the black can either go to work or combine to make an elegant ensemble for going out. Easy care too.

This is my first QVC garment purchase, and I am very pleased.
Purchased both colors and so glad I did!
Lots of glorious fabric that flows beautifully.
Nice attention to detail and well made.
Glad I went by the size chart specifically for this skirt, as it was a perfect fit!

Love Halston but not this one. There is an abundant amount of heavy fabric.

I never saw a presentation on this skirt but I saw the models wearing it in several shows and thought it would be a good Holiday garment. First, the material is VERY heavy because there is SO much of it. Not only is it a full A-line cut, it had two deep pleats on each side of the skirt for added fullness. I'm 5'5" tall and there was fabric on the floor, it's that long. There was all this talk in the H by Halston shows about going up a size but I stayed true to size and the waist was huge. Awful disappointment-no wonder it didn't get any airtime.
