Guy's first forays into the food business started at age 10 when he began selling soft pretzels from a three-wheeled bicycle cart he built with his father. The cart was named, in true Guy style, “The Awesome Pretzel.” Guy earned enough money to study abroad in just six years by selling pretzels and washing dishes. Guy became an exchange student in Chantilly, France. He gained a deep appreciation for international cuisine and the accompanying lifestyle while in France. Guy began his culinary career in 1996 when he opened Johnny Garlic's, based in his hometown of Santa Rosa, CA. Now Guy Fieri is partnering with QVC to introduce a collection of hard anodized cookware, kitchen utensils, and more.
