I purchased these 2 years ago & they were fantastic. Wish I could say the same this time around. Ordered 16 once again & I've bitten into several chunks of shell. There are far more fillers than crab chunks. Very disappointed & will not be buying these again.

Yes, most of the crab was shredded, some crab lump, but there was a lot of crab and very little filling. I'm fixing to order again.
Rated 5 out of 5 by sues e Q Really tasty
Do not know what people are whining about. I fear they are cooking them wrong. I turn my little toaster oven on 400 and a few minutes later place these babies in for exactly 23 min. The whole house smells like a crab house. everyone I have made these for says how big they are and they will never finish...BUT no one leaves even 1 bite on the plate . Just ordered original again.

In the presentation they represent that the crab cakes have chunks of crab - not so. The crab cakes consist of shreds of crab, no lumps. While tasty enough, not exceptional, they do need a little sauce or something. For the price I would like crab cakes that look like the ones presented.
Rated 1 out of 5 by lowcountry Not what expected
After hearing the rave reviews on air I thought I would order. Not at all what I expected. Very dry and the "large" lumps of crab meat were pretty much absent. I know crab cakes, from living on the Eastern shore and Va. I will not order these again.

I received two bags of four crab cakes. I would have preferred that come individually sealed (like the Lobster Crab Cakes I referenced below) as I don't have a Seal a Meal. Anyway, the directions said to cook on 400 for 20 minutes. This surprised me as these are HUGE, softball-sized cakes not as flat/small as the lobster crab cakes which you cook for 28 minutes. At the end of 20 minutes I tried to break into them and hit a frozen block in the center. The outside was plenty cooked and on the verge of burning, so I just put the frozen part back in for another 8 minutes to finish. The next day I tried lowering the temp and extending the time and 375 for 37 minutes worked. There was a TON of crab and very little filler in the two cakes I have made.

when I watched the demo on this product , I was taken with all the crab in it.
Thought it would be wonderful for my daughter's wedding shower.
My husband ,grown son and I tried them before the big event. So glad we did! Wasn't up to par for QVC food standards. I felt it only 45% crab, the rest was a weird breading that wasn't mix ;but was all the top portion of the cake so along with the coconut fake taste not so desirable . It was a return for us.
Serving something else .

Looked delicious when presented on QVC, however, these crab cakes were nothing like what was shown. Instead of having chunks of crab in them, and I prepared 3, all of them
consisted of nothing but shreds of dark crab which was totally tasteless. Where did the nice
large chunks go? Unfortunately I prepared them for company before I tried one myself,
big embarrassment and huge mistake. Would I order them again, absolutely not, I'll stick
with Bobby Chez.
