George Simonton Regular Crystal Knit Pull-on Palazzo Pants
I got these in navy medium, and they go great with cardigan A234488. Together the set has the look of a complete suit. The pants are extremely comfortable, and I like them more than the similar crystal knit pants that are not palazzos. They have a bit more style. The reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is that I feel the need to either wear shape-wear or a cardigan that covers the behind in these because they show imperfections. I feel that way in all of the crystal knit pants, but I wear them anyway. This fabric travels great.
Not for Short Women
If you are 5'3" and under these may not be for you. The legs are so wide I felt like a baby elephant. I notice they have "wide-legged palazzo pants" too? I don't know how you could get any wider than this without catching a breeze and sailing away. Maybe I got the wrong style?
These were not for me.
I purchased several pairs of George Simonton's crystal knit palazzo pants, and now I am "hooked". I'm 5' 2", 100 lbs., and the XX-Small fits me wonderfully. Purchased in the wheat color and navy blue. I love the fabric, feel so elegant when wearing. It is wonderful, light weight, and perfect for summer. I'm hoping this will work well in the cold Ohio winters here, too. Have now purchased the crop pants in several shades, several crystal knit tops, and regular crystal knit slacks. I am so happy that I discovered this line. Thank you, George for this wonderful fabric. I am planning to stay a loyal customer on the crystal knits, very tastefully designed, wonderful fabric, extremely comfortable, and easily maintained. Simply wash on gentle, cold water, hang and garment will be dry in a few hours. Excellent product!
Are those bumps I see? Eek!
I love Simonton's designs. Before these pants, I had purchased his crop pants with buttons on the side that are just perfect. I bought these thinking that I would like them just as much. Unfortunately that is not the case. Like the crop pants, I did size down from an M to an L. They fit nicely and the length is great (I could wear a couple inch heels in them as I am about 5'5"). I bought the wheat color which is gorgeous. The pants hang nicely on me but they show all the lumps and bumps on my thighs. Eek! I am still keeping them because I bought them to wear with tunics anyway. If I were to buy another pair, I may go with dark colors and in my regular size.
These pants are awesome! They are by far the most flattering pants I've worn. I ordered 3 colors. They fit perfectly, drape beautifully and look great on. Not so wide that you'll look clownish. Although a bit heavier then expected, the material has a crapey feel so definitely can dress-up. I'm 5'5" and the R length is fine. I suggest sizing down.
The Wheat Color is Beautiful!
These pants fit nicely and I love them in the wheat color. I love wide leg pants and these are no exception. I have been trying to find pants that can replace the Effortless Style wide leg pants that are sooooooo flattering but have been discontinued. This Simonton version is very nice; however, I would like them better if they ran about an inch longer. I am 5'7" and I will have to be careful to wear them only with flats or very low heels. I am especially concerned with whether or not they will shrink when I wash them. Other than that, I think they are perfect and i hope that George and other designers bring in more items in this light wheat color.
"CRYSTAL KNIT"..NOT FOR ME!
I like George Simonton. But the "Crystal Knit," is, just, not for me!
I know. I am in the minority. But I, REALLY, do not like the fabric.
My pants had A LOT of static.
The fabric felt scratchy against my skin; and, it made a weird sound whenever I moved (swoosh, swoosh, swoosh). I felt as if I was wearing Taffeta!
I have a Pilates body. I am 5' 6" in height. And, when I tried the pants on they were above my ankles!
Sure, I have VERY long legs. But, this was ridiculous!
I can, only, conclude that I might have received a customer's return--who had the pans hemmed?
Other than that, I like the design of the pants.
Although, I would like them with a WIDER leg, such as Lisa Robertson pants (she wears in her own show).
Sadly I packed them back up and they were returned.
I, truly, hope GS makes this pants, again, with wider legs and in a more fluid and softer material.
Other than that, I, TRULY, liked the design and the over all fit of the pants. Thus, the two stars.
CLASSY! ELEGANT PANTS
These palazzo pants really are slimming to a woman with curves. Jill Bauer was the host when I ordered these and I took her advice and went down a size. The fit is perfect and I know I will get many years of wear out of these lovely pants.
I find George Simonton to consistently design clothes that flatter the woman, at a great price, easy care to boot. Simply elegant, I keep coming back for more of his fashions. The drape is great, not too wide a palazzo. This is a timeless classic. Works for both young and old. I'm 5'8", 168lbs and the medium fit perfect. He and Lori Goldstein are my favorite QVC designers and have several pieces of each. Look put together with little effort.
Never tried his brand, but will buy again.Nice material and fit.
*** A MASTERPIECE MR. SIMONTON *** BRAVO ***
I love the Palazzo Pants ! They look and feel very Glamorous. This is my first purchase of the Crystal Knit fabric ....... it's so Yummy !! I have had these on my wish-list for a long, long time, just waiting for the (medium) to come back in stock. When I saw my size I couldn't order them fast enough. I started with the Navy ...... love them. they fit so nicely ... very flattering and forgiving! Perfect length .... I wanted a pant that I didn't have to wear my 4-inch heals with. These are perfect. I can wear a lower heal shoe and they don't drag the floor.... I'm about 5'7" tall. The very day I received the Navy I ordered the Black.
Needless to say you have made me a very happy girl Mr. Simonton !!
Thank you so much!
LOVE the pant but not the COCOA color !!
i absolutely love these pants and have many pair. i was looking for another color and purchased the COCOA color. Oh, goodness! The color is dreadful - the color of hot cocoa with lots of milk and a hint of lavender color. I had to send them back.
Sometimes I wonder how these colors could have possibly been approved by the QVC buyers. I would like a very nice dark tan/dark taupe color and sadly George has not gotten it right yet. Not too light nor too dark.
Anyway, I still love you George !
