Rated 3 out of 5 by Eggie poor quality elastic?
the skirt was very nice and liked the ruffle detail but after one washing the elastic gave out
and had to take to dressmaker to replace elastic at waist,
this skirt was no bargain

I love George Simonton clothing; but, not this milky knit dot skirt. Showed every bulge and lump and tooooo short. I looked like a polka dotted sausage with legs. This design strictly for the young, firm, youthful - looking body.

Order 3 different colors. I ordered the right size in a large. Very nice skirts.
Rated 2 out of 5 by docideau Not for me
I have some George S. pieces and love them; however, this was not for me. It was not the least bit flattering, and I agree about the ruffle in the front: it just sorta hangs there. Nothing pretty about it. I also sized down one size and found that it was a good fit. I love polka dots and love the brown/turquoise combo; however, this skirt is not for me and it's on the way back to QVC. I wish that it had worked because the fabric is a good one to travel with. I think you could just roll it up and put it in your bag without worry.

Purchased black and brown skirt. Love to wear them as they are always ready to go and will be so cool for the summer. A199886 true turquoise essential short sleeve v cardigan matches perfectly. Best match I've made in a long time.

LOVE George and usually his items are so wonderful. Many of my favorite items are from his line. Oh well, it was clearance for a reason....DISAPPOINTED
Yes, it does run LARGER, and I went to a smaller size. SIZE is fine,,,,BUT STYLE ?? It hangs so droopy, there is no logical reason to the asymmetrical hem. More sag than ruffle.
Looks like I went into my Grandmother's closet for a quick thing to wear to Church, when I had not planned on going. And I am wearing the skirt backwards, sideways or something. <I live in the South, Church attire is important >
No disrespect, I was hoping for a "smart" look -- I have three of his Jackets and many pants of Milky Knit, which are great for Business and Travel or when you have to really "Dress UP".

Wow! So cute!!!! I got the black and white, duh, and the brown and turquoise. So stinking cute. I can't wait to wear this. I really want a turquoise top to go with the brown. I hope I can match the color. I got my normal size medium. This will be great for work or a night out. George, you are the man!

Maybe this skirt just doesn't look so cute in size 2X? That could be it. The gal in the photo looks great. Mine, not so much. It fits. It's a little generous in the waist; I wish I'd ordered the 1X instead. The length is perfect for me at 5 ft, 5 inches. It has more than a couple of seams so it gets to be confusing as to where they go when you have it on. I kept checking the mirror throughout the day and sliding it to the left and then back to the right. Just needed a couple of minutes tossed in the dryer to get it wrinkle free for first wearing. I always second guess my taste when I buy either polka dots or something in fuscia. But I just needed to get some other colors in my wardrobe besides various blues and dark browns. The black dots on this skirt appear navy blue when you are wearing it with a jet black top. It looks like you didn't own any dark navy so you just threw on a black top, hoping nobody would notice. That's my gripe and why it gets a 3.

This is the first skirt I have ordered from George Simonton. It is very flattering and comfortable. When it was shown on air the model had the ruffle in the center front. When I received the skirt I realized that the ruffle goes to one side of the front which is more flattering. I ordered my usual QVC size for skirts and pants (XL) and it is too large. I returned it for the large and am hoping it works. I have an hourglass shape and the waist was at least 2 inches too large and the hips were a bit large. So I would say, unless you have a large waist, size down.
