George Simonton Animal Print Anorak Jacket with Ruched Collar
Twice as Nice
This cute, little, lightweight, spring jacket was so perfect I had to buy two. The blue was wonderful for jeans and the tan just had that great neutral look to go with everything else. I'm 5' tall and the cut of this jacket really worked. The length covers just enough and the sleeves were exactly right, no folding back needed. The print was just subtle enough to have a leopard look but isn't trying too hard. It does have a water resistant finish and has that rustling sound but it doesn't bother. You can wear this jacket open or closed with waist pulled tighter or left loose. It would have been nice if there were cinchers on the ties to hold it, but I found that if I put a bow in each tie where I wanted it to stay, it managed to look cute and also prevented the ties from just hanging down past the hem. The pockets are a little shallow but it's not a problem. If you're petite this jacket should be just right for you.
This is pretty but the sleeves are way too short-like three quarter length. Should have returned. For the reason am not giving it a lot of stars. Maybe this is more of a quality control issue?
Wow I am being noticed!!!!!!
I bought the blue combo and maybe I should of sized down, but this way I can wear a sweater if it's a little colder.
I love the colors and yes it's thin, but it's a rain jacket and can be worn as a spring one also. O.M.G. to get compliments from a College I attend and to have top members of the college compliment me, I feel like a million bucks.
As I wrote just recently about your tank, which is tremendous, you are the bomb.
I am going to watch you on every show you have. You have much wisdom, and I love your soft spoken voice. You know a woman and how to make us older ones feel recognized again. Thanks QVC, He is Great. I have ordered more of your line. Cannot wait.
Very Good Purchase
Wasn't really sure about the Color I ordered until I received it. Love the color and the fit.
stiff and plastic feeling
This did nothing for my plus sized me, and looked better on tv. The material felt so cheap and unimpressive that i just could not see myself wearing it. Sorry but couldnt even keep it to walk the dog
Not Impressed with this Jacket
I recently purchased this jacket in the blue combo, and although I had high hopes for this jacket, it did not live up to my expectations. This was my first purchase of one of George Simonton's fashions, and although I have often thought that his fashions look very pretty, I was very unimpressed with this jacket. To tell you the truth, it looked like a battle fatigue jacket, so back it went. Would I recommend this as a gift to someone else? Definitely not, even at the clearance price, it was not a good value to me.
I like the jacket, but I wish the pockets had more depth to them. They're so short they're almost not there.
PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
Now that's strange - I don't REMEMBER being the Fit Model for this jacket,
and yet it fits as if it were custom made for me!
The fabric is nice, too - light enough for warmer weather but great for now with a light sweater underneath. I will get a lot of wear out of this one. Thanks, Mr. Simonton!
Not For Me
This coat did nothing at all for me. I felt it wasn't up to George's usual and was poor value for the money, even at the sale price. Will be sending it back.
Two stars short of wonderful!
LOVE the fabrication and the print of this jacket!!!!! However, herein lie the problems - sleeves are woefully short; waste for anorak is ridiculously high (almost empire); and while I find the collar stylish, there is no hood. And even with all my complaints, I kept it as I really like the look. I will deal with the sleeves - I will not tie the drawstring - and I guess I'll carry an umbrella to compensate for no hood!!!
Cute but noisy
Cute jacket but it's one of those noisy fabrics where every time you move it rustles. I wanted a softer, quieter jacket. It should also have cinches on the waist drawstring. If it's not tied the waist loses all shape. Will return as it's not for me.
