Good for High Volume Slicing
This is just OK. I struggled with the safety lock on the device the first time I used it. The instruction phamplet didn't address this. Not as smooth as on TV. I would have to do some very high volume slicing before hauling out all these pieces.

OK, But Could Be Designed Better
The slicer itself is a nice product, but I wish some more thought had been given to the design. For example, the hopper handle (holds loose items to be sliced) does not fit into the storage bin, which would have made the product much easier to store. I'm not sure that the storage bin needs a lid; why not design the slicer itself so that it can double as a lid for the bin? In this way, you can store all of the parts of the device together. Last- not sure why the metal stand-up legs on the slicer need to be a separate piece... why not incorporate it into the design of the slicer, to fold down when needed and fold up into the underside of the slicer for storage? This is a good slicer, but takes up a lot of room to store (I keep the slicer and the handle out, and have the bin and the hopper handle in a closet).

Handy
I have a couple of other products I love and use all the time. When I saw this on QVC it had features all in one that I had to use two other products to get results. I especially loved the fact that I could prepare salad fixings right into a storage container and it would stay fresh with a lock and lock top. My top will not lock all the way around only on the ends leaving the sides for air to slip in. Maybe I got the only one that will not seal and lock as it should, but for me this is a problem. Also a instruction booklet would be nice. Only a one sheet of paper leaflet with very small print is included. Not great for me to see and read. Guess I will send this back and hopefully there will be an updated one come out in the future.

Love it!
I'm so glad I bough this slicer. I was debating on whether or not to get it because I already own and LOVE the big Genius Salad Chopper that came with a little mandoline attachment and the little pronged veggie holder thingy. In addition, I had already purchased a mandoline from the competing shopping network and had returned it because it had detacheable blades that were difficult to assemble and was too big and cumbersome to operate. This slicer is a much better value for the money and it is so much easier to use. I love that the blades are on board already and what completely sold me was the little hopper to slice the small pieces. The only reason Im not giving it 5-stars is that my lid on the container does not snap closed on the long sides therefore rendering it useless to store anything overnight. I guess I was one of the 'lucky' ones that got the jacked up pop n lock lid. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase though.

Adjustment knob won't turn
I bought this back in August and just got it out for the first time and I am extremely disappointed. I tried to turn the adjustment knob and it only goes from 5/6 to 7, I can't get it to move at all. Anyone got any suggestions, I am going to spray some pam on it and see if it maybe needs lubricating. Not good!

Makes it Easy
I was intriqued by the demonstration of this product and so far it is impressive. We have used this with great success for making homemade onion rings and shoe string fries. The adjustability and ease of use make slicing less of a chore and slices are much nicer than I could do by hand.

Makes slicing easy
This slicer is easy to work and I like the fact that you don't have to change or store extra blades. Just change the dial for the different cuts.

It's ok.... Not what I thought
I was excited to get the slicer...I opened it and put it together... Then I tried slicing different things and it wasn't as easy s it looked on the presentation.
It does work ... I just have to practice more I'm sure....

Super Fantistic Slicer
I bought this as a gift and now I wish I bought one for me too. Used it at the recipient's beach house to slice potatoes for breakfast. It was fast and sturdy. Easy to clean too.

I love it!
I used my speed slicer for the first time today and absolutely love it! It sliced my potatoes perfectly and with such ease! I can see myself using this so much from cutting vegetables to making french fries! The possibilities are endless with this slicer. Thank you for making cooking preparation more easy and fun!

Very unhappy with lid
The first time I used the lid on the storage container, a tab broke off. Referred to Lock&Lock for replacement - was told I would have to pay shipping and handling. Since I paid shipping and handling once for this product, I told them I would not like to pay it once again. After letting her know I have spent a lot on their products, the rep (at Lock*Lock) told me "sorry". I said I would write a negative review and stop buying their products, as there are several Lock&Lock containers I own with broken tabs that will not be replaced, and she said "okay."

Great slicer
Very pleased with this slicer set. Love the storage container and stainless steel blades. Finally, a better way to prep raw vegies. Thanks QVC.
