Genie Bra Set of 4 2 Basic and 2 Lace Bras w/ Modesty Pads
I love wearing the genie bras but there is not enough support to hold up by DD. I was told to size up since i had large boobs but the 38 was to large around but large not large enough for DD. i am really disappointed that i am having to return them since they are the most comfortable bras around. Not recommeded for large boobs not enough support.
Great for traveling in
These are exceptionally comfortable. Great support without an underwire. I wash by hand and have not had a problem with the modesty pads. Takes a little getting used to at first with how high it is under the arm and in the arm pit, but the up side of that is that it pulls in the back and side fat. I always wear this during travel...planes, trains or automobiles. That way I have support without a wire digging into me for hours.
Great Bra, At Last!!!
I love the Genie Bra. Yes, I agree it is more for D and smaller. I am a 38 so I think your back width also plays a big part in good sizing. My size D's are not heavy so I dont need much support but prior to getting a breast reduction (formerly a 42G) I know I could never wear this bra. I love the fit and comfortable feeling of not wearing underwire. I use the XL/1X. You have to step into it and adjust.
After breast surgery this was and has been the most comfortable bra to wear, no seams to bother with ! I would like more colors !
Although the bra is comfy...
I wore each color bra a few times, they were so comfy, but after wearing each one a few times I began to notice seams coming apart. I washed them gently and line dried. I'm beyond the thirty days, so I will be mending...heavily.
Bra is great, Modesty Pads are the problem
I love these bras, but the modesty pads are covered with a tricot that falls off if they are washed. I don't put them in the dryer. They are hung up to dry too. Never had this problem with Cooby's.
Perfect Pajama Bra
I've been searching for years for a light-support bra to wear with my pajamas and sleep in. Bralettes offer no support whatsoever. I was skeptical of an 'as-seen-on-TV' bra, especially since they are sold in the check-out line at that big discount store.
QVC has been selling the Genie Bra for quite awhile. Loads of great reviews. So I opened my mind, watched the presentations, rewatched them online, and studied the reviews. I am 5' 144lbs 34DDD. I followed the sizing instructions, my band size is 34 so that would be small, but then it said to size up one size for C cup or greater. So I ordered a medium.
I was pleasantly surprised that the Medium was easy to step into even over my 41" hips. There are no unsightly rolls or back fat showing. I do wish they wouldn't just say go up one size for C cup or greater. There are lots of cup sizes greater than C (my DDD for instance). They need to make cup sizes. Add extra fabric. This is a minimizer bra on me. Not as much compression as a sports bra, but my girls are smashed down. I wouldn't wear this bra out and about because it doesn't allow perkiness like an underwire bra with properly fit cups.
It is a fabulous bra to sleep in or lounge around the house! When I lay down, the girls don't slip under my arms, they stay up!
I totally recommend this Genie Bra for large breasted women who want a little support and modesty around the house. Bravo!
These are not made for large size ladies. I removed the pads as they made me look even bigger and not in a nice way. The band is not comfortable. It rolls up under the breast. I actually found a better made bra almost like this at the Dollar Store for $8.00.
A Must Have After Shoulder Surgery
So Comfy! Ordered these plus two sets of the lace overlay before rotatater cuff surgery, about 5 weeks ago. Have not worn any other bras since. I may never again be able to hook, which was my main reason for ordering, but these surprised me in the level of support as well. My bust measurement is 46 (40 under bust), and my girls have given in to gravity. I ordered 2X, though I wear an XL blouse. These bras give me an acceptable degree of lift, seperation and support (not like my sport bras that give me a flat uniboob look). Just know, they will not support or be as flattering as an expensive underwire, but for comfort they cant be beat.
Good For Easy Support
I had ordered another brand of these and was very disappointed. The Genie Bra is much better. These are comfort bras ladies. These are not meant to do what you are complaining they don't do. They are great to wear when you don't need to have underwires and have your girls ON SHOW. We all need a comfortable bra to wear at home or everyday. This is very good for that. It is NOT a sports bra either. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I love the pads because it gives you that extra modesty we all need when wearing a thinner bra. Buy them to be comfortable, yet feel a bit of control and modesty. If you are going to walk fast or run or wear your tight clothes that show off your figure you need more support. I love these for what they are.....comfort bras.
Bra sizing is off. Specifically bra smaller the recommended by chart, even with pads removed. Also the lower band at bottom of bra could be bigger which would make it less likely to roll. Recommend getting one size up from chart's recommendation.
These bras are not the same material as the others I have. Very very thin and SKIMPY!! Hardly even covers you. BIG disapointment-there going back. Now I'm afraid to order any more.
