Rated 5 out of 5 by JJJJ The Best Of All Obi Belts
This is by far the best of all Obi belts. High quality leather and there is a slit in the leather to slide one end through. This enables you to nearly wrap it around your waist and it stays in place. Some of the other Obi belt designs do not stay in place. This is well worth the money.

I have many obi belts in all price ranges including QVC obi belts. This one was their first and, in my opinion, their worst. The leather was stiff; the belt was too big, too wide for most people and wouldn't tie properly around my waist. The ties were stiff and did not hang nicely. I have seen better, cheaper vegan belts. Look at the video and watch Amy try to tie this belt and make it look good.

If you are thick in the middle, girl don't fool yourself, this belt is not going to make you look thinner!!! As my mother used to say " Looks like a featherbed with a string wrapped around the middle". Some things are made for thinner people, it's a fact. I gave 2 stars because the leather is fabulous!!
Rated 3 out of 5 by JR23 What is up with these prices??
Although I love this belt, I bought it last yr (2014) for $59 and now it's almost $100 after shipping and taxes?? It sad that Lisa made this line for people to be able to afford designer inspired clothes and now it's getting ridiculously expensive. $60 was expensive enough for a belt, so sad I can't add the brown to my collection.
Could only recommend if you have money to spend. The belt is lovely, although i do find myself re-adjusting it if I sit and stand a bit. That and the the price increase takes off 2 stars.. mostly the price bc I would still purchase the brown at the previous price.

I own the black in the XS and purchased it at a special, somewhat lower price. To date, I have worn it a number of times with various tops and dresses. The leather is thick and the belt lays nicely and stays in place. The ties are a bit wide but do not loosen up too much. I like how the belt emphasizes my waist and adds importance to my outfit.

I'll admit that I am probably the problem here, but I could not figure this out. Maybe I got the wrong size. They looked like a good idea but just not for me. Had to send them both back.

This version of the Obi belt is far superior to the other!
With this version, when wrapping the belt around your waist, you tuck one one side of the belt into the slit (which then stays at your back) and you continue to wrap it in front. This offers a cleaner, more polished look.
With the other version, you simply cross the two sides over which then doesn't lie neatly at the back. Not an issue if you are wearing a jacket over top; however, if you are wearing this belt with a dress, this particular version offers a more polished look.

I need women to realize that they are two different OBI belts.. this is the first OBI belt that came out...Gili then went back to the drawing board and improved upon it.... so here's the deal...yes this is a big piece of leather...it's quite a good quality belt but it does have neoprene on the other side... so you do have to probably be a little careful how you tie it...however the new OBI belt has two layers of leather so there is leather on both sides...that is the improvement to the product...like anything they come out with something and then they make it better...so if you don't want thr belt with leather only on one side then I would get the new OBI belt which is item number A264009... I can wear an extra small/small in this particular obi belt and in the new OB belt with the two pieces of leather...I can wear a medium /large so I would say this one runs big so if you're on the cusp size down.
