Frankie Avalon (16) 4.2 oz. Choice of Italian Sausages
Just Like grandpa used to make
My grandfather was a butcher and made sausage that did not have the lumps of fat. Frankie's is the same and very tasty. I only ordered the one without cheese. When they cook slowly in my sauce and practically fall apart at the end it is sensational.
These are the best I've had in years. Maybe the best ever.
Better than anything you can find in a grocery store. Absolutely delicious with incredible taste. Can't recommend them enough. You do need to separate them when you receive the package, and use the Food Saver to vacuum pack for extended use.
Not so great
These sausages were just ok. Sorry Frankie, we have better tasting ones in the local supermaket.

...however, the packaging is not up to expectations with a QVC product. They always arrive with some ice crystals already formed in an open cardboard box. Luckily we bought a handy sealer, so we vacuum seal them as soon as they arrive. They should be vacuumed sealed prior to shipping.
I received my package all excited to try Frankie Avalons sausages.. I opened the box which was not a proper box to store frozen meat in a freezer. Only ate two of them. The taste was so so. The rest were already partially freezer burned when I got them. Hade to throw it out who is going to return food to QVC? Was very disappointed.
I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed these. Being a NY girl I sadly miss good Italian food down here. I was very skeptical about ordering these but I decided to take a chance and boy am I glad I did. These was such a surprise I couldn't stop eating them when I cooked them, before I even got a chance to put them in the sauce. Had to defrost another pack just because I had eaten half of them just plain. If I had one minor, minor complaint it was that they were a little salty may have been my taste buds, maybe the cheese but they were still out of this world. I will definitely order these again.
frankie avalon sausages
the problem was the packaging you could not get them apart and had to cook all of them they were so frozen together it really needs better packaging
ONE TIME ONLY PURCHASE
Looked good but when i cooked them very dry so tried several different ways and still dry very flavorful tho....
I have tried all four and they are GREAT! I do purchase the Sweet Italian the most. But the others are a nice change -up to a classic. I am planning on these for a family gathering.
I have tried them in the slow cooker with a tomato sauce and grilling them with peppers and onions. My family and I think both are good, however, feel the grilling is better.
Can't wait to cook up my latest arrivals.
Just tried the sweet Italian sausage. It was absolutely delicious. Now, Frankie, how about making some meatballs for us????
I am Italian, and have to say, these are very good. Not many people know about cheese and parsley, it is wonderful, give them a try!
