Fiber Fix 3-Piece Multi Purpose Super Tape Adhesive by Lori Greiner
This did work but Beware that you need to use the whole roll at one time. I tried to use the remaining part of the roll about 20 minutes later but it was hard as a rock. No way to unroll the remaining part of the roll. Had to throw that roll away. I had to use another roll, but I cut off the portion I needed and only put this amount in the warm water. Sealed up the remaining portion of the roll. Hope I can use it again when I need it.
Mending Home Projects
I like this product. All you need to do is measure what needs to be mended, cut it, and add a little water. The moisture acts like a glue, which will keep the mending project in place. The strip will not break.because it is strong and sturdy. I mended the top rail on my 2 tier laundry cart. I am happy with the results.
Thank god, cause I was about to give up
I'm working on a project that requires certain angels and I couldn't find a glue that will work and after buy one product one after another with failure to work I was about to give up but as I was wondering around lowes trying to figure out how to bind that part of my invention I came across Fiber Fix, and I thank God that he have the inventor this brilliance to make such a product cause it worked, after months of looking and trying to find something that will work I finally found it!!! Fiber fix is amazing!! I tried to see if it would come apart or break and what ended up breaking was the material!!! I wish I could thank the inventor in person cause this review isn't enough to express my gratitude to Fiber Fix, they are just too amazing, I will definitely be continue to be a customer (:
Just What I Needed
I have a very attractive wrought-iron coat rack/umbrella stand that has fallen apart several times. Apparently I've put too much stuff on it (coats especially, who would have figured?) and it has gotten off-balance when I've removed more weight from one side than another. In the past, duct tape has held it together but it was still wobbly and didn't fill me with much confidence. The top branching piece attaches to the main pole by screwing them together and the last time it fell apart the screwing element got stripped and the top portion (and all the stuff) ended up on the floor. I was really bummed because it's the perfect thing by my front door and it holds a lot of coats, purses, and umbrellas. The day after the last collapse I happened to see the Fiber Fix guys on Shark Tank. (Love Shark Tank!) It looked right up my alley and I ordered it off their website immediately. And it worked like a charm! I used the black roll, which matches the color of the coat rack perfectly, and that thing is rock hard! I had enough material to cover many inches on either side of the screwing spot so I know it's is anchored in place. And I still have 2 other rolls to use down the road. I'm telling everybody about it because I think it's a fabulous product!
I used this product on PVC Under my kitchen sink. Water goes through it very easily. Save your money and do not purchase this product if your using it for water tight fixes.
difficult to use
They send you the three sizes and they aren't inexpensive and with all that material you could fix a lot of things but the problem is that once you open the package, you have to use the material right away or it's not usable. I only needed to fix something small so I ended up throwing away so much material. The first package I opened, I didn't use soon enough and it was useless. It's a great idea but packaged poorly. It should be packaged in smaller portions.
There is a very poor value for your money. There are better products available to do the same thing.
I tried to fix a hose with this product and it was useless. There is no adhesive, so when you wrap it around the hose it comes off. I even tried to hold pressure on it until it dried, hoping it would not come off. It kind of help until it dried and then it unwrapped. Waste of money. I still love Lorie.
Way better than duc tape or super glue
This tape works great! My son broke the handle on my shovel. It was fiber fix to the rescue. The handle was broken close to the end where shovel head is, I used fiber fix and it's as good as new or probably better.
Works as advertised, should come in more lengths
It really works, but I wish they offered the product in different lengths. Why? The product a single use product. If you need less than the full length, the left over portion cannot be saved for later. In addition, depending on the size of you project, (say you need multiple layers for your repair), one roll may not be enough.
Overall a great idea that I wish I had come up with.
I purchased this product just in case I needed it and..... had the opportunity to use it twice on sporting equipment. Worked great but I agree with another review in that you have to use the entire roll which is more than needed and the sand paper provided is too small and does not sand very well. I would recommend this product but offer the advise to repackage it differently like splitting each roll in half so that you have 2 of each size (can use both if repair requires it) and larger or more effective sand paper. I will pruchase more.
This is the exact product that we use for fiberglass casts (for broken bones). You can not re-wet/reuse the product.
Seems like a huge waste because if you only need a tiny piece, you have to toss the rest of the roll.
Blown away by versatility
I got this stuff at Home Depot for no particular reason. I am always making things and am a hobby carver. I ended up using this tape to make a protective carving glove and also casted a thumb and index finger slip-on cast. The slip on casts protect my finger while I am carving. They are snugly fit and do not slip off of my fingers. I can't believe the endless possibilities that this tape provides. I will have this stuff in my supplies at all times considering the broad uses
