Rated 1 out of 5 by Unsure if It's quality for money My dehydrator arrived with a crack on the top, right-hand side, going down the side of the unit. I wanted to like it, but honestly I don't know if it works well, AND it was significantly bigger than I expected; more like the size of a small a/c unit or a large microwave! I'm returning it because of the crack and may buy a smaller one. Although the smaller ones are 50.00 more, which doesn't really make sense to me. One star because the unit arrived damaged. 10-01-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than Canning I don't can because of all the steps and mess but I do dehydrate. I love this machine. I have dried fruit and vegetables, mostly organic. It is great to make soup in the winter and all I have to do is pop open a variety of jars full of dried carrots, onions, celery, squash, potatoes, tomatoes and so on. The absolutely best are tomatoes. Not all the mess and the same great flavor. I would suggest to anyone to give this type of food preservation a try. 09-28-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excalibur Food Dehydrator I bought my first Excalibur over 30 years ago. It still works, but I retired it to my craft room and bought this new one for my fall harvest. It is an amazing piece of equipment and would highly recommend it. Mine is running now drying some of those prolific cherry tomatoes to add to salads. 09-15-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by WAY WAY WAY too big for normal person There was nothing wrong except it is HUGE. I packed it right up and sent it right back. Only a FARMER needs a monster machine like this. However, if you have an enormous amount of fruits and veggies to dehydrate this is for you. I will keep my little $79.00 dehydrator! Take measurement before ordering... my bad. This would only work for me if it doubled as a oven, dishwasher or refrigerator! Not enough room in my kitchen 01-05-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome machine!! Fantastic purchase! I dried fruits and veggies to get started, now I have a batch of maple pecan granola waiting for me for breakfast. Last night I binged on completely healthy-no-oil faux "cheesy' kale chips, and the banana/ strawberry fruit leathers are amazing! I could not recommend this machine more!! Best Purchase Ever Indeed! 12-12-13
