Eurosteam Steam Iron w/Boiler Tank & Lint Brush Attachment
It does what it says it will do and more. I even removed a wallpaper border before painting and it took no time at all! Not your normal use for an iron, but it had the power to get the job done, and it glides through wrinkles like a breeze. Is slightly on the heavy side but is a great iron and I recommend it.
Just 1 year.
It was good for a year. After that, the handle used to get super HOT. I couldn't even touch it for a second. I called to the company and they told me the warranty was expired a week ago, and if I want them to fix it I have to pay shipping both ways and what ever it needs to be done. I can't believe I payed that much money and it was just good for a year.
LOVE this iron!
This is an exceptional product! It performs exactly like the demo. I guess some of the negative reviews come from people who don't take time to watch the video and read the instruction booklet. You can iron silks, delicate synthetics, and screen prints. It's fantastic for baby clothes and for sewing and quilting it is a dream. With my Rowenta I was always afraid of causing damage with an iron that's too hot...no worries with the Eurosteam.
I really wanted to like it
I wanted to like this iron so much. I saw it at a trade show and didn't buy it. So I decided to buy from QVC. It leaks and does not do what the video shows. I have read and re read the instructions. (im 38, pretty smart guy) it just sadly isn't the answer to my ironing needs.
I purposely used a little less water than the max amount, and when I turned the steam on, water went everywhere. This iron is good if you want to do 10 handkerchiefs at one time. If you have several pieces to iron forget it, you will continuously run out of water and no water, no steam. Totally impractical unless you only iron one item and have a lot of time to waste. Sorry I didn't read the reviews before ordering.
High hopes dashed...
I have looked for a "mighty iron" like the ones I've used when I visit Italy. Since this had the boiler, it came as close as possible without the bulk of the others. This works NOTHING like the demonstration and it is very heavy. The demonstration is very misleading as the demonstrator mentioned again and again how light it was and also how easy it was to use. Neither is true. I am not an unintelligent person by most measures, but I could not get this iron to do anything but soak my clothes and wrinkle them more. I am returning it as defective since that is the only explanation I can come up with for it's not working as presented.
I'm so mad!
I'm so mad! I bought this iron about 6 months ago and have used it a handful of times. It worked fine not amazing like on the demonstrations but I figured maybe it was operator error. Today I bought a rayon nylon spandex skirt that needed a little bit of a touchup. I thought this iron would be the best choice (I also own a professional steamer from qvc and a Rowenta iron also from qvc). I thought the euro steam would be the perfect choice to smooth out a few wrinkles on a brand-new skirt. I let the iron heat up as usual. This time for some reason a lot of water spurted out and got all over the place. I thought maybe it's something I did?
I was going to brush it off as insignificant until I applied the iron to my brand-new skirt and it instantly caused wrinkling/ bubbling on the fabric. I was shocked absolutely shocked and extremely mad! According to the QVC demonstrations this iron is 'safe on all even delicate fabrics'! Apparently it is not safe on a rayon nylon spandex mix. This is a $50 skirt that I have never worn ruined by this iron. Very very mad and very disappointed! I took pictures and will try to submit them with the review. SO MAD!!!!
Really Great Iron
I love the iron. I had heard about it from a friend and had used hers so I couldn't wait to get my own. It really does a great job and for quilting and holding my square shapes it worked better than my regular iron. I won't use anything but the Eurosteam Steam Iron for all my ironing.
I purchased this iron a few months ago for my husband and he absolutely loooves this iron.he loves the fact it's heavier and the steam is amazing....so recommend you buy this iron.
BEST iron ever owned
Because it is so different, you must take the time to read instructions and view video.I've never had to do this in 50 years of ironing. WOW was it worth it. I will never use any other iron.
What a disappoitment!
I purchased this iron about five months ago. Loved the concept. Loved the idea of not having to set the temperature and not having to fear scorching my clothing. But my excitement was quickly thwarted. I only iron a few items at a time but still have to constantly refill it. It doesn't iron through several layers as demonstrated (I tried it!), and it leaks right through my ironing board onto my floors. Still, because I couldn't return it, I kept using it, getting more and more frustrated by the inconvenience of shutting it down to refill and waiting for it to reheat. Then it started spitting. Now there is a constant volcanic eruption of steam from the boiler chamber rendering it too unsafe to use. $150 dollars is excessive for an iron that lasts less than 5 months! I am shocked that this poorly designed iron got any good ratings at all, and disappointed in QVC for offering it to its trusting customers.
Ironing made easy
I do not understand the negative reviews. This iron is great as it effortlessly works on different fabrics with no scorching. Initially I was afraid to use on silk and other delicate fabrics, but this iron works great. I am not a fan of ironing this product has definitely made the chore much easier.
