Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions In a Stupid Place. I watched the presentation and at no time did they mention crab meat. Now it's mentioned in reviews. Mine just came today so i cannot verify what they are like. My comments relate to the instructions. Why aren't they separate instead of being glued to the package you cut up to put them in the freezer. I don't save boxes so nearly threw this out. Back to the crab meat, if .i had known about it I would never have purchased these. I don't eat shell fish. Not happy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed While I like the taste and quality of the Faroe Island salmon steaks, I did not care fore the Salmon Wellington. It has a peculiar taste, takes twice as long to cook as they recommend in order for the dough to brown.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Salmon Dish The pastry is very flaky and the salmon was good. The one thing I did not like was the fact that I did not taste or see any crab meat in the filling. Just as others have said, the cooking time is incorrect. Instead of 18 minutes, I found 30-35 minutes ideal.

I was shocked when I saw the salmon still had the skin on and then wrapped in the puff pastry. The skin ruined the whole dish making it fishy and an unpleasant presentation. Needless to say I was embarrassed. Who would wrap a piece of fish with the skin on in Puff pastry?? This was a pricey dish to start with. Needless to say I will not be purchasing this item again. Get rid of the skin on the salmon and it might have been a tasty dish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good The quality of the fish in this is excellent. That's what you're paying for. But if you don't get enough of the crabmeat filling with herbs in one bite, this dish is very bland. Many restaurants will serve something like this with a sauce like buerre blanc. Which would improve it immensely. Because, as one reviewer wrote, to have this cooked through, and the pastry browned, it takes about 10 minutes longer in the oven that the instructions say. Which can leave the salmon itself a little dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is THE BEST! This is so delicious and very fresh. It has a light taste and not salty at all. This Salmon Wellington is definitely gourmet. Wish I had more than the 8 that I received. My daughter is very picky, and it passed her scrutiny! Love them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good portion size but too fishy tasting Beautiful presentation, cooked nicely and good portion size but we didn't enjoy the overly fishy taste and couldn't finish it. We love salmon and had 3 different salmon dishes on table that day but this was disappointing in flavor combination. We still recommend because all else is good and maybe someone else doesn't mind that.
