EZ Tools Safety Step Ladder with Handrails & Comfort Step
A Little Wobbly
This ladder is a little heavy, but for the height I'd rather it not be a light one. I must say, though, it is a little wobbly. So, if one has a problem with heights and tries to use this for a project needing a ladder, I wouldn't suggest using the top step as was mentioned in the demonstration. I think I may like the traditional ladder better, but I will keep this one because of the hassle of re-packaging and returning.
WORST PURCHASE EVER!!!
This ladder is 30 lbs. and I can't carry it up and downstairs. The steps are slippery on the pads and on the metal around each pad. There is black powder coming off the pads and you must put the safety handrails on yourself.
Great Ladder, Heavy and Bulky
I got my ladder today and I really, really like it. However it is very, very heavy and bulky (not like my Little Giant - very light weight). I do my own work in the yard and around the house and had a problem moving it inside after putting together. I do like the large steps and the handrail and top rail. Very secure. Beware that it is hard to handle. I do not recommend for anyone with a disability - so heavy you won't be able to move it around. Safety wise, a winner. the handrails and top rail are fantastic. Just wish it wasn't so heavy. That is why it gets 4 stars - weight. Great idea, should be aluminum - like Little Giant.
Fear of Ladders
I have always hated climbing on ladders, no matter what the height. Unfortunately, our home has extremely high ceilings in several rooms and some have recessed lights which are almost impossible to reach, not to mention the high smoke alarms with those beeping low batteries! Hubby always had to drag our huge ladder inside the house, have me hold the ladder while he climbed, and basically I hated the whole process. When I saw this on QVC, I knew I had to have one. It is high enough for me to reach 99% of the recessed lighting and smoke alarms in our home should I ever have to do it myself. It took a few hours, but even hubby loves it and admitted it was a really great purchase. I love having sturdy handles on the side and then that "grab bar" thingy at the top! I tell you, it's not the most beautiful thing I've ever ordered from QVC, but it makes the top 5! The only minor flaw I can find is I would love wider feet for a tad more stabilization. Maybe a future tweak?
