It happens in an instant. The power goes out, the car won't start--and you need help, fast. Count on the Eton FRX2 Hand Crank Weather Radio to provide invaluable support in the event of an emergency. With access to AM, FM, and NOAA weather bands, plus a bright LED flashlight and USB charging capabilities, this multipurpose unit helps keep you connected at home and on the road.

More power to you. With up to three ways to charge it, the FRX2 is always ready! Use the built-in solar panel or the mini USB port to power the radio, flashlight, and USB charging functions of the device. No sun? No outlet? No problem! Just crank the hand turbine handle to add battery life to the device without the use of an outside source. This proves especially handy when you're on the road and need to make an emergency call with your smartphone. The long, durable handle even tucks away nicely into the device when not in use.

Small enough to store in your glove compartment, emergency box, or camping bag, this compact Eton Weather Radio helps keep you tuned in and up-to-date no matter where you are. Listen for helpful weather updates and news reports--even turn on your favorite music stations and games with the AM/FM/NOAA weather band analog radio. The bright LED flashlight helps you find your way in the event of a surprise power outage. And, thanks to its glow-in-the-dark locator, it's always easy to find.

Be prepared. Perfect for roadtrips, sending kids off to college, and as part of your disaster readiness kit, this is one multipurpose unit you'll want to keep on hand. It could mean the difference between being helpless, and knowing that help is on the way. Don't wait. Get yours today!

Don't hesitate,, buy, buy NOW I purchased two of these. For the price you can't beat it! Just charge the battery and wow you have all radio bands, great emergency flashlight. You can crank up the battery if the lights go out. Used during snow storm, radio worked wonderfully. Put in sun to charge solar panel. Keep one in house and the other is in the car for emergencies. Great product! 02-26-15
worst product ever this worked for about 5 min. & never worked again. gave one to my sister & her's has never worked. kept them too long to return. 02-10-15
Junk! I was ok with it at first, but I really never did anything but keep it in the draw next to my bed for emergencies. I just noticed the solar panel is cracked, FROM WITHIN. How does that happen?? I won't buy a ETON radio/light again! 01-31-15
Great gift for big and little kids I purchased these for my grandsons as stocking gifts for Christmas this year, and what a hit they were. The boys are 6 and 9, and loved that they could generate the power needed to make these light-up or to have a working radio of their own. This is a novel product for children and serves as a good teaching tool for explaining energy power of varying types. Great for camping, in the car, or for using when all alone. 01-16-15
Great "man gift"! I bought these as Christmas gifts for all of the men in my family. They work great and everyone loved them! 01-11-15
SAVE YOUR MONEY I bought these as gifts but after seeing them close up I couldn't see myself giving them to ANYONE. They are cheaply made and there is way too much effort for very little payoff. Returning. 01-04-15
Great shelter tool Very versatile tool for emergency preparation. Works with very few cranks, even after sitting for weeks. Wish I had, had it last year during the ice storms here. 01-04-15
Husband Loved This Got this for my husband for Christmas and he loved it and said it was cheaper then the store had it.. Good deal 01-02-15
waste of time and money don't bother getting this only you want it for the flashlight. It would not hold a charge no matter how long we cranked it. WE couldn't get any radio stations on it either. 01-02-15
Cheaply made I bought three for gifts and couldn't get a signal on the radio. They are light weight and feel very cheap. Returned them. 12-25-14
Maybe good for campers I really wanted to like this as I purchased it to keep in the car for emergencies. With that said, if it was an emergency I doubt I would be able to crank continuously for long enough to say it was useful. However, I love having a solar charge!! So, I left it sitting in my south facing window for 2-3 days while out of town. I expected to have a fully charged unit upon my return. Instead, I got 5-10 seconds of radio and then nothing. I called the 800# to see if I had misunderstood directions, or perhaps gotten a defective unit, only to find out that for the 'solar panel' to charge, it has to be left OUTSIDE to charge, not in a window with blinding sunlight pouring in. So much for the idea of having this solar charged in the car, ready in case of emergency. Pros: Sturdy enough feel and size Comes with usb cable Bright light for a couple seconds with a quick crank. Clear radio sound, again, for a couple of seconds after quick crank. Cons: CRANK CRANK CRANK for little return Having to leave unit OUTSIDE for 3-4 hours to charge in full unblocked sun Tiny print on radio dial. Although it's easy dial and listen, you charge might expire while searching. 12-17-14
