Dyson doesn't live up to its claims
I have had this vacuum for over a year and a half now and can say that I don't believe it was worth the money. To hear the hosts go on about it you would think it is the best thing ever. It clogs up, the floor brush has to be taken apart and unclogged. I don't like emptying the dirt from the plastic container, the dust goes everywhere! Dust clings to the plastic and builds up and the holes clog up in the housing. I have 2 cats and I need something to pick up cat hair. It is better than the Bissell but still leaves something to be desired. Cord is not long enough. For nearly $500 I should be in love with this thing but I am not.

Save your money
I have never written a bad review before this is the worst vacuum that I ever bought for the money it should never clog up. I have two dogs and everytime I use this vacuum I have to take the brissles out to unclog. I've only had this a short time and I'm already going to buy a new vacuum mainly because this one is too annoying to use. Half way through it stops picking up and it has to be taken apart. What a shame if I could go zero stars I would.

Do not waste your money on this vacuum
It clogs up and you have to disassemble the brush unit to remove the clog. When you put it back together, good luck on getting the brush to rotate again. Very, very disappointed after spending all this money and my old Hoover has a lot more suction and does the job much better.

I am so happy with my Dyson-Worth the $$ I could never go back to a regular sweeper again!!

Awesome!
This is the best vacuum ever. My second Dyson animal vac. The first one is a upright but it is very heavy to use. It has woderful suction, but my husband has to use it. The canister vac is very light and easy to use. It has great suction, too. I would recommend this vac for anyone.

Not User Friendly
I've had this for several months and feel I can give a fair appraisal now. I agree with the others who say it is hard to operate and cumbersome. I am worn out just trying to vacuum my small bathroom. In fact, small areas are impossible to get around in with this thing. I just can't tell you how much I dislike the handle on it. It's in my way. Also I've had it with the plastic tubing which is the hose. It's stiff and unwieldy and makes me want to scream when I use it. Why can't we go back to the old fashioned tubing of the past? Ah for the olden days. Anyway, I suppose if you use it in a wide open space you might not have the problems I have when trying to pull it around corners and having it flip over. So frustrating. Sorry for going on and on, but really this is a PAIN TO OPERATE. Thank heavens I don't have to use it on carpet. I have an Oreck for that.

Dyson is worth every penny and then some!
I purchased this a year ago and it still is running like the first time I used it! I am disabled making a stand up vacuum too difficult for me to use. With the canister I don't have to move around all the weight of the vacuum just to clean. It is more quiet and efficient than 3 previous high end name brand vacuums that I have owned and just as quickly tossed out. Simply put this Dyson product is phenomenal! I hope they continue to make canister vacuums like this that can be used by people with disabilities.Thank you Dyson and QVC!!

Love Love my animal
Works great has every attachment you could need and love that there is no bag to empty. You don't even have to touch anything to empty the dirt, just push the button and open the trash, its that easy.

Molding Buster
If you value the molding in your house, do not purchase this vacuum. I have to carry this Dyson around in order to avoid more dents in my woodwork. It is very cumbersome and not worth the hassle. It does not store well either.

Best Vacuum Cleaner Ever
I don't understand all of the negative reviews on this vacuum. I have had my canister for over a year now. I would say the negative comments come from those who just don't understand what a canister vacuum was best used for. I personally love that I can be cleaning and just lift the wand right up on to my couch and vacuum without ever having to stop. Also I go straight from the carpet to the ceramic tile in the kitchen by just turning off the bristles. This machine has unbelievable power. It picks up every bit of dust and dirt that it comes in contact with. I have a 3 cats and 2 dogs trust me when I say this vacuum is put to the test daily. Goes great under beds and chairs. That is another great thing about being a canister it fits in places that a upright just can't go. I just can't say enough about this vacuum.

Best vacuum I've Purchased
I purchased this Dyson because I have aGSD with long hair..the day I received it I had already vacuumed..I opened it up got to work right away and re-did the area rug in my living room...REALLY? it picked up so much pet hair! I use it almost on a daily bases and it works well..granted you have to switch attachments..so what...and as for ease of using..it is light weight..I only wish I would have bought the pet attachment..and I still might..I would recommend this vacuum to anyone that has pets..and the biggest plus..my turbo brush..well it didnt work as well and I called QVC..they put me in touch with the Dyson company and it was replaced bc of the 5 year warrenty..so come on ppl if you arent happy all you have to do is call them...they,along with QVC, know what customer service is all about!

Keeps Plugging Up!!!
I had an upright Dyson and loved it. It simply wore out after several years. I thought this canister style would be great. I am so upset that it is not at all what the upright was. I have two cats, so I vacuum almost everyday. There is a rubber flap inside the carpet attachment right before the gunk goes up the tube. The cat hair plugs up against that flap. I have to stop and take the cover off of the bottom of the carpet attachment (by the roller) and pull out the cat hair. This happens several times when vacuuming one room. Not at all what it should be. Too much hassle. It's too late to return. I will go back to buying items like this from Costco. That way I can return them after 30 days.
