Dyson Big Ball Multifloor Canister Vacuum is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for hardwood floors The best vacuum I’ve ever used for hardwood floors and tile. Tons of suction and doesn’t spit dirt/debris out the back like so many vacuums do on hardwood floors. Works great on pet hair. Also works well on very low pile rugs. I would not recommend it for use on medium to high pile rugs or carpets due to the suction being too strong. Easy to maneuver & isn’t very heavy (stats say 17 lbs but seems lighter than that). The head of the stick vacuum part swivels and gets into corners and under furniture very well. Easy to empty the canister. Worth the money if you have lots of hardwood, laminate, or tile floors!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE DYSON Plenty of power for my ceramic and wood floors. I am a canister woman. Not as easy to operate on carpet. For my carpets I have the muscle car of uprights, the DC65, 280 Air Watts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from There are issues Pro's: Fabulous suction as Dyson always has. Easy to attach, detach, switch out, empty canister bin. I love the new "squeegee' feature when you empty the canister bin. Pushes down any material that used to get stuck at the top. I used to have to clean 'up top' with a toothbrush on my Dyson Upright. You won't have to do that anymore! Yay! I also love the retractable cord. And, as portrayed, the canister does self correct if it tips. Cons: Because of the strong suction, when you pull the wand back to you, the head will sort of stick/suction to the carpet, so I have to kind of pull the wand up slightly and push forward again. There is a little muscle involved. The wand does not go to and fro as easy as portrayed. But you do get the suction soooo,,....; 2. Unless you are only moving forward and are vacuuming in wide open spaces, the canister does follow you easy enough. The canister doesn't however easily roll along furniture. Thus you will have to pick up the canister and move it away. If you have arthritis or back problems, picking up the canister and moving it more times than not will be an issue. I was surprised at how often I had to pick it up and move it. 3. Unless you watch and maneuver the canister often, It will hit walls so be ready for paint scuffs on the 'ball', I haven't noticed any damage to my walls but clearly if there is paint on the ball....... 4. The power button and cord retract button are about as small and round as my thumb. Not suitable to use your foot unless you want to break them. Again, another instance in which a person will have to bend over to turn it on, off, and retract the cord. The only reason I would not recommend this model to a friend is because of all the bending, lifting, and moving. An upright would be for you. If you don't mind bending to lift and move the canister and bend to use the power/cord retractor buttons, then I would recommend it based on suction power and the bin emptying squeegee alone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great on Hard Surface floors While this product works great on hard surface flooring, its okay on carpets and area rug, and so so on cut-loop carpeting. The beater gets bogged down horribly on cut-loop carpeting making it a "not my choice" for my family room vacuuming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This is an amazing vacuum cleaner! Love the canister, the new self cleaning bin and attachments, very nice looking and is pulls so smoothly you barely know its behind you! I have wood floors with scatter rugs and the suction on this vacuum is too too strong...sucks the rugs up so the wand sticks and doesnt move. Unfortunately its not going to work for me but would highly recommend if your home situation is different!
