Our home is really dry during the winter. No nosebleeds. No dry wrinkly skin. The best. But beware - it requires weekly and monthly cleaning. Do not buy if you can't do the upkeep.

I received this fan and right out of the box, the remote did not work. Dyson sent me another remote and although it turned the fan on and off, it would not work for any of the other options: rotation, decrease/increase the fan speed. Dyson was very easy to work with, I sent it back to them and they will send me another. I am looking forward to receiving it as it is a great fan, just want it to work properly.

When I contracted a severe upper respiratory virus, I decided to invest in a high quality humidifier. Dyson has proven itself, once again, to be the gold standard for home use products by blowing the cheaper brands out of the competition. This unit is powerful, easy to use and worth every cent! It allows one to determine the amount of microfine mist and air flow from blower. The amount of water the tank uses is determined by how high one sets the humidity level and the hours of usage! There is a wide range of choices. The unit allowed me to get some much needed sleep! I have not seen any of the usual white dust the cheaper humidifiers produce, nor have I noticed any damp areas. The unit must cycle up before it produces the mist, only a few moments. No filters to buy, love that. I wish I had had one of these when my son was little and had asthma or the whooping cough. Thank you Dyson for continuing to produce innovative, high quality home appliances.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. Dyson, you never fail me. This humidifier is very easy to use and put together. The quality is definitely a dyson, well made. The pressure comes out great and very clean. No smell and very quite. The controls are user friendly. If something is not attached correctly it will let you know. As a added bonus, this humidifier doubles as a fan!

For the past 6 months I have lived in an apartment environment that can be personally controlled - up to a point. I have had to invest in my own furnace filters and refrigerator water filters. The Management's "customary and usual" replacements are not up to real quality standards - they can't be for the number of replacements they need (dumb it down). Many people wouldn't even notice - clean filters are clean filters, right?
I did okay in the summer with the A/C - kept A/C temperature low enough for breathable humidity inside while being able to manage the heat part. But, when I turned on the furnace for the first time in the Fall, my breathing problems returned - sinus. Within 2 weeks of breathing bad recirculating air (the filter looked as if it hadn't been changed in years) I bought my own upgraded filters. This didn't seem to help as much as I need - and as soon as one sinus siege left, it wasn't long until another returned. During QVC-Christmas I watched the multiple presentations of a humidifier being sold at less than $100. I ordered one, In between order and ship, I found some reviews of the product that didn't sound as if this was the product for my situation. There was a lot of do-this-do that and this might-happen. More investigation led me to the Dyson AM10. I have Dyson vacs and fan/heater multiplier - who knew Dyson made a humidifier!? But, whoa .... look at that price! I ordered it mainly because of positive reviews here and other places. The Easy-Pay didn't hurt either since this is a considered purchase.
I have never seen this Dyson product demonstrated on air - didn't know Dyson made a humidifier - but, went with my other Dyson product satisfaction - you usually get what you pay for...after all, you want relief.
After 48 hours (constant) of 70% added humidity (default) with a 10% fan, I am noticing an true improvement in my air quality - my sinuses are less swollen - my nasal passages are open - especially overnight. My humidifier set up was easy - use TAP water!! Will need to pick up citric acid to add to water for weekly cleanings - they allow other methods - so check the the easy, clear users manual. 99.9% bacterial free - the mist is projected from the loop by the fan. No dripping! Loop (fan) open back to front - the - same type as with the air multiplier. Water tank is large enough and product is efficient enough to keep refills reasonable. Easy. Remote is magnetized to the top of the loop!
In future upgrades, I would love Dyson to add an oscillating feature! And, maybe side handles on the outside of the water tank (there is an inside carry handle on the water tank which collapses when inserted on the base) to help move from place to place.
This is a serious humidifier for the long haul.

So glad we bought this. Yes it was pricy but have no more snoring in the house, no more bloody noses, no more post nasal drip and scratchy throat.
Rated 5 out of 5 by singingjoyfulnoise Best Humidifier on the Market!
After searching the web, and reading tons of reviews on many different humidifiers, this one is the best! Not only does it NOT spew bacteria, it is quiet and sleek. I purchased a humidifier because my allergies have gotten so bad I was waking up every night with a dry itchy throat cough. The saline works but I'm already awake! Only had one night in 3 weeks since using the Dyson. If you live in a dry climate, or have allergies, this is the one to pick. It's pricey but top of the line is worth it. It's your health people!

The Dyson Humidifier as its now known rather than the Hygienic mist is by far the best mister/humidifier I have ever used. The air blade tech really improves the even room humification and it is extremely quiet, even on its highest setting. I have owned a number of misting and evaporative type humidifiers and this one is by far the best. Any room it is used in just feels and smells clean and comfortable. If you pair the Dyson with a good air purifier in your bedroom than you will enjoy the best sleep you have had in a while. The AM10 is very well built, very aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. It is a pretty penny but I would not hesitate to buy it again. No more filters, no real messes and no funky odors. Just be sure to read through the owner manual and clean it as directed by Dyson. Also, I have found that using purified water makes the humidity even more comfortable.
