DynaTrap Decora Insect Trap for 1 Acre with 2 Extra Bulbs is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 107.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warranty Totally Great! We purchased a 1/2 acre model last year for our immediate home area, and it has worked really well, 24/7 outdoors all year. This year in June we purchased a 1 acre model to cover the barnyard, but the fan did not work when we first plugged it in. I called the warranty number, and the DynaTrap people were so nice, and after some minor troubleshooting that did not fix the problem, they decided to send us a new one, no charge. It is so nice that QVC has a relationship with these folks; a company with people who have such a wonderful customer service philosophy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jury still out I am not sure if this works or not. I have had for a couple of months and while I am not eaten alive by mosquitoes in my patio area, I do not seem to see any in the trap. As others have said, it catches a lot of beetles and wasps. I have the one acre size although my backyard is not that large. I chose that because I had another brand from the big box store and it was probably about the size of the 1/2 acre. Again it caught a lot of moths. I had more to one side than another and I decided to move it after a storm. Actually think the side area was better than the current one which is more in middle of yard. It is too hard to move to go thru that several times per season. I find it hard to open without spilling contents all over. Also it would hard to take it down with the change of weather such as a storm, etc. It should be more steady than that. I found mine at the bottom of the hill with the top part of unit still attached to shepard;s hook. So for the price, I really think they should make some improvements. As I say, the jury is still out. Leaning toward not such a good purchase even though when presented there were glowing reviews. As you can see, that has changed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed Bought the 1 acre Dynatrap last year and worked great. Changed the bulbs and did was what necessary for another Great summer but the dynatrap doesn't work anymore. My family and I got bit so many times within the hour that we were outside. It's only been 1 year so really disappointed about this product. I would not recommend family or friends to purchase. So disappointed!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs Improvement This is the 2nd DynaTrap I have purchased. Last year was the first purchase for 1/2 acre of property, according to the guidelines specified. Other than capturing a lot of moths and beetles, the mosquitos and flies were just as bad as they had been. This year we chose to buy the newly improved 1 acre size. Although my property is 1/2 acre, we decided that maybe we needed a larger one. The unit itself is attractive and I love the new illumination design of the bulbs. In the evening, it beautifully illuminates the section of my yard where it is placed. With that being said, it catches even more moths and beetles than the older/smaller unit, but it does not seem to do a great job of capturing mosquitos as I had expected it to. Additionally, after only being in use for 4 weeks (24/7), the bulbs no longer work and need to be replaced. For the price of this product and its advertisement of the benefits in controlling mosquitos, I am really disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't get mosquitos Sending back for lack of mosquitos being caught. Seems to catch everything else but. And that's why we bought it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge waste of money Was hoping this would make my outdoor space more enjoyable. However, it did no such thing. I have noticed and increase in the number of bugs but they are all over my back porch. It does trap a lot of moths but the beetles were always in the outside and I have yet to see a fly, mosquito or wasp INSIDE this thing. I can not sit outside any more comfortably than I did prior to owning this. I have left it plugged in and on for a continuous mi th now before writing a review to see if things would improve and sadly they have not. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! Bought the 1 acre last year. My grand babies have not been attacked by horse flies in the pool, since I purchased this fabulous machine. Also, they recommend changing the bulbs every year. Still have not changed them. Absolutely love this! Now I am getting one for each of my children for their yards.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved it while it worked! I bought this just before Spring and put it out as soon as the weather started turning warm. Initially it worked fantastic. I have a granddaughter who is highly allergic to mosquito bites and this was the best thing we ever found. However, within two months one bulb burned out. Once that bulb burned out it was not doing as well with the bugs. A month later the other bulb went out. I could not find the bulbs that came with it (having put them somewhere I was sure to remember) or the instructions. I had to order two new bulbs and look up the instructions on line. Anyway, changing the bulbs is no easy task, in fact it is a real pain. So imagine how unhappy I was to have both new bulbs burn out within moments after installation! At $18 for two bulbs I'm not going to keep ordering them to have them immediately burn out. I guess we go back to sprays and staying indoors. I'm so done with this thing....
