I Love This Ring
Yes, the black rhodium wears off but it takes on a lovely antique look. I purchased this ring because of the story that Steven told about it. I had just lost my brother and the ring made me think of a new beginning for him because of the buds growing from the tree of his life. My oldest brother had planted a tree in his honor, A Camphor tree like the ones that they used to climb as kids. This ring is very special to me and will always remind me of my dear brother. Thank you Steven.

I ordered the whole set to this beatiful series. The ring is subtle but by no means slight.
It feels like a twig around your finger, and the details are very fine. I got the diamond version, and will consider the other colors for stacking. It fits very comfortable, and I could wear it all the time. I could see it as a wedding band. The bracellet and earrings are just as nice. I wouldn't hessitate.

SAD MISTAKE
IN MY HASTE TO ORDER THIS RING BECAUSE IT WAS BLACK,I FAILED TO READ THE REVIEWS. IF I HAD I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IT. THE BLACK HAS WORN OFF OF THE BACK SIDE OF IT AND IT LOOKS LIKE A DIRTY SILVER RING. HAD IT TO LONG TO RETURN. SO SAD.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering this ring and being out all the shipping charges. Had hoped this would become an everyday ring but returned it the same day it arrived. It's a good thing I knew it had diamonds because the appearance was very lacking in bling! Oh well, another lesson learned.

Had to go back
I purchased this ring and within one week of wear the black plating disapeared from the back of the ring. Had to return - dissapointed, love the style.

Really Unique Ring
I loved this ring so much I bought two. I wear them as pinky rings, and I wear them opposite each other.

I love it but...
the dark did come mostly off.. actually comes off with soap and water.. it stayed in the cracks of the ring and the silver shows through around it.. so it is still pretty.. an everyday ring for me.. I love the style..

BLACK BEAUTY AT ITS BEST
I purchased three Dweck rings - yes three - on designer silver day. I had already purchased part of the Fortuna collection and was coming back for more. I read the reviews regarding the black ring; however, I just had to have it to give it a try for myself. I love the Fortuna collection and purchased the ring in sterling, 14K gold clad and black - to stack or wear alone. Stephen is a true artist and I love how he incorporates his love of nature into his jewelry design. Try the ring for yoursef - if you have problems with it - you can always return it. It is just gorgeous!

Good/Bad
The ring is beautiful, but as the other reviews sad, the black comes off almost immediately. This is sad, because the purpose of buying it was for having it in black. If I wanted it in silver, I would have purchased the silver one. Other than that, it is beautiful, unique, and well made. Is there not some way to make the black stay???
If not I would advise them to stop selling the black one, as people will be hesitant to purchase any other product from Dweck thinking all items will have issues.
