Dweck Diamonds Sterling & 14K Gold Clad Diamond & Blue Sapphire Ring
absolutely beautiful!! i ordered a size 7 but i got a size 6... that's ok i have other fingers!
As a huge Dweck fan, I wanted so much to LOVE this ring. I ordered it in the blue and sent it back immediately. There was simply nothing about it that made it worth keeping.
Different But Just Okay
I don't know if it is the silver setting or the fact that the area around the stones have been oxidized. I suppose the small diamonds stones are what inflated the price. Blue in my ring is distinguishable so it is obvioua that they are sapphires. Good casual ring for jeans or business office. Not enough presence for me to be a dinner or special occasion ring. Not disappointed, not thrilled.
This beautiful, rich looking deep blue ring (not too dark) is covered with scintillating sapphires, diamonds, and lovely gold flowers. It is such a classic shape and design, that I will love it always. I ordered the earrings to match, and they are equally elegant and lovely, and of high quality. I recommend both highly.
Very poor quality, very, very disappointed
I was so excited that I ordered both rings. I'm not so much on the fence about the stones...fine with that...what I have a huge problem with is the gold clad is already coming off the blue ring, which means it will also come off the red sapphire ring too. Just too much to pay for poor quality, which will not last through a first wearing!!!
Too dark, too small, too gray
I bought this ring because I love sapphires. This sterling ring was a little pricier than a typical sterling ring, so I was hoping that I might actually get a decent-grade sapphire. But they are very dark navy/black. The diamond accents are gray. I had made a personal vow to never buy a ring that had diamond accents (meaning less than tenth of a ct), but alas, I broke my vow and am regretting it. I'd rather have no tiny, gray diamond accents on this ring; the gold flowers were pretty enough without them. If I'm going to pay for a decent ring, then I'd rather pay a little more and get diamonds that add to the setting, rather than detract.
Also - this ring was sized way too small. I am normally a 7 on left ring finger, and a 7 or 8 on the right. I could NOT get this ring on my left ring finger. It barely made it halfway up my finger.
I really wanted to love this ring. Sadly, am disappointed,
I really loved this ring when I saw it on TV, it had sparkle and the sapphires were a lovely blue. When I received it though the sapphires were black, they looked like onyx a very black color. They had no color and the two that had just a hint of blue were very poor quality. I also did not like the band, the color of the band and the design did go well with the top of the ring. What a pity but back it went. I can't recommend this ring. I did buy two other rings from another designer that were spectacular.
On the fence...
I agree with the other reviewer that said she was "uncertain". For me, there really was no "WOW" factor with this ring. I gave it 5 stars because it really is the bluest sapphire ring I think I have ever seen. That is primarily the reason I am leaning towards keeping this ring. The diamonds are what they are, accents. Nothing special, just there. The 14kt Clad was a little bit gaudy to be honest. In my opinion, nothing like what real 14kt jewelry looks like. The ring is comfortable to wear and ran true to my size. I wish I could say that I love this ring. I am hoping that if I keep it based on the sapphires maybe in time I will.
I Love This Ring
Love the color of the sapphires and the way they sparkle in the sunlight. The diamonds are just accents,no more. I really like everything about the ring and would be happy to purchase any matching accompany items. If the red sapphire ring goes on easy pay, I know I will be adding that one to my collection. For me, this design is a breath of fresh air compared to the other designs I saw most of the Designer Day.
WHAT A BEAUTY!!!!!!
At first I hesitated on purchasing this ring, but am so glad that I decided to order it. It is so like a "Blooming Flower". The Saphires are all even in color and mine is a medium deep royal blue, just like a Saphire should be. You first see the blue color of the ring as a beautiful flower and then--there sets nestled in the bed of Saphires, beautiful golden flowers with just the right size diamonds in the center of each one, "like a dewdrop". What a brilliant design!!!! Thanks so much for the very high end design at such an affordable price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO HIT HERE
I don't want to be unfair, so giving this a 2 instead of 1 star because the majority of the sapphires are good, but they are not consistent through and through. The ring I received is sprinkled with some flawed stones, some are almost black in color while others are horribly flawed. Because of this, it's going back, plus it's overpriced.
This ring is gorgeous!
I got this when it was a OTO and ordered it after only seeing the still photo. I actually missed the presentation and went back to watch it on video later, just to make sure I still loved it. This ring is even more stunning in person than it is in the picture. The stones are a deep, rich, sparkling navy when you're inside and then look lighter blue (not pale or anything, you just see a lighter navy presence) and even more sparkly when the sunlight hits them. The flowers are so pretty and delicately carved and the gold color is much more subdued than in the still shot--it looked a little brassy to me in the picture but looks just like regular 14kt gold in person. The dome is a bit higher than I normally wear but after you wear it a while you just get used to it. Inside the ring it isn't hollow--there's some silver that fits against your finger smoothly but that also has a few open spaces for the light to shine through. It's not an inexpensive ring but it's a weighty, expensive looking piece that looks like it would cost way more than it does. This is my first piece of Dweck jewelry but I'm guessing it won't be my last!
