works great - nice even heat I bought this almost a year ago and it works great. Have not had any problems with it at all. It heats my entire living, kitchen and dining room area. I love it because it is such a nice even heat and I really like the thermostat so I don't have to mess with it. Coming back to buy another for the bedroom. 10-10-13
GREAT SOURCE OF HEAT This is my second season of using this heater, great source of heat, have not turned my heat on yet, there was just a chill in my living room, decided to plug this in, I forgot how efficient it is, what I like there is no noise at all, it has a thermostat and when it reaches desired temp, shuts down, which I love and goes back on when temp drops, love the remote also, don't hesitate, have a beautiful vase full of sun flowers on top, nice convenient drawer, holds remote when not in use and a lot more, love this product, just wish they would come out with same product with flame feature would buy for every room. 09-25-13
This was a great buy I was very nervous at first how well this heater would work because we have tried a few different heaters over the last couple of years that haven't lived up to what they said it would. This heater did do the trick and it did what it said. It did save me on my heating bill, took the chill out of the air and it didn't cause my electricity bill to skyrocket either. 06-17-13
Love this heater We bought this heater in the fall, and never even turned on our baseboard heat in the whole downstairs (which 575ft). We have total electric heat. Our bill was less than last yr. Don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. We live in central Pa. AND now I'm going to buy one for the upstairs , cause its on sale and on easy pay!!!!!!!!!! 05-04-13
Great supplemental heater I just received my April energy bill and my budgeted monthly amount was reduced from $213/mo to $125/mo. I've been using this heater since November 2012. My family room is breezy with vaulted ceilings and furthest away from the furnace. It does not heat well. I'm always cold in that room. Last winter I ran an oscillating fan when home. I had to have the fan pointed directly at me to feel warm. I purchased this heater in November 2012 in hopes it would heat the room up. I run it while we're home non stop. With this heater, all winter I have been able to keep my furnace thermostat at 66 degrees and be very comfortable in the family room. At times when I need the room to heat up quickly, I turned the furnace up to 68 for a short period of time, then back down. The duraflame will maintain the temperature even when we keep opening the slider for the dog that wants to go in and out all the time. The unit rarely shuts off when heating my room, but that is okay since it didn't make my electric bill raise. In fact it is using less energy than the oscillating fan I used to use. I read many negative reviews stating this didn't heat their rooms. For an open room like mine, I think it would be difficult to rely on this unit to do all the heating. It is better at maintaining a temp, or bringing the room temp up a few degrees. If I was to rely on this to warm my family room, I would have to run it for a long time and then keep it running. I would recommend this for small - standard ceiling - rooms or as a supplemental heater to keep part of a house warmer. I like the look as it is a piece of furniture. It is attractive and many people haven't realized it is a heater until I point it out. It is also safe for the dog. It also has a timer (something I wouldn't do without) so I can set it to go off in x amount of hours knowing it won't be running while I'm gone. 04-10-13
Always Read The Reviews B4 You Buy It worked well for about the first month, then it just would not heat the room. I too had to sit close to the heater to feel the heat. I can leave it on for hours and the temp in the room is about the same. It's not worth the money. I ended up purchasing a $29.99 heater that was on sale and it's doing a wonderful job. Please don't waste your hard earn $$ unless you have $$ to waste. Disappointed in SC 03-07-13
bad purchase I wish I had read the reviews on this before I purchased it.. I hardly ever write a review but felt I should on this product. It doesn't heat an entire room; as a matter of fact, I have to sit close to it to even feel any heat at all and then it only heats the part of me that is directly in front of it. I have been using it less than a week, so I am not sure what my electric bill will look like, but I am so sorry for spending this much money on something that does not perform well at all and after reading a lot better reviews on the cheaper heaters, I am that much more upset 02-25-13
no problems I think for the money its a great purchase. Have used my Duraflame for about 6 weeks now and have no complaints. Really did not raise my electric bill any from last year at this same time. I give it a thumbs up. 02-22-13
Worst purchase ever! I purchased this as the TSV after reading and hearing about what a great heater this was and how efficient it was and that your heating bill would be less, etc, etc. I agree with a few other reviews; the only thing that went up was my electric bill!!! The unit seemed to work OK at first by heating up the room then turning off when it reached the set temperature. Soon after however it never seemed to reach the set temperature and would just run on and on and not shut off. I had to stop using it and now it is just an expensive end table because it is too late to return it. I am more than dissappointed after hearing all the "hype" about how good this unit was and suprised that QVC would keep selling it after several bad reviews and low product quality! 02-08-13
Disappointed Great look and price but poorly constructed. Out of box, I had a cord holder break. 3weeks later the fan broke making a terrible racket. One wheel fell off and drawer track broke. Loved the idea but not how it was made. Do not buy! 02-02-13
Won't stay on Ran fine for the first 3 weeks but now it runs about an hour then starts flipping on and off really fast. Hope they will still take it back. It is after the 30 days but still within two days of the Christmas gift allowance period. Awfully expensive for just a months use. Bought it as a gift. embarrassing. 01-28-13
The Jury is Still Out We received this heater much quicker than I expected and it was left at our front door. We found upon opening it that one of the casters was broken and later I discovered a slightly damaged area on the side. The dealer is sending a new caster and it was nice that they responded so quickly about that problem. However I am disappointed that it has been unable to heat the 16 x 20 sunroom without help from our electric fireplace and overhead heater/ceiling fan. Wish I had listened to the reviews and saved myself the trouble. I am giving it 2 stars because it is a nice endtable and I just have to decide if it is worth keeping for cool summer nights. Packing it back up is going to be a major deal so think of that before you decide to try it. 01-28-13
