Rated 1 out of 5 by legomaster Cute but NOISY !!!
This model and, reading other reviews, many of the Duraflame heaters make a CLICKING sound, which is ANNOYING. Their styles are cute and they heat really well. PLEASE Duraflame configure your heaters to NOT MAKE THAT ANNOYING CLICKING NOISE !!! Sent this back and received shipping refund also.

This is a high priced throw-away item. I certainly expected it to last more than two seasons!

I purchased 2 of these. I used them for a few months as a supplemental heat and stored them when winter was over. Within a week into the next winter, one quit and almost caught my electrical socket on fire. Total working use was less than 90 days. The second one still works but I only use it while I'm awake and I check the socket regularly. I would never purchase one again. I only wish the first one would have quit before the 90 day trial period ended. I would give this product a zero if I could.

Less than a year after I bought this "heater" first the "flame" stopped working, then the heat element. What a total waste !

I purchased a duraflame stove heater with heat and flame. Used it for about 6 weeks last year and about 6 weeks this year. Only used for about 3 hours in evening about 5 nights a week. Heater and blower have STOPPED working. If you go to their website it says that they don't even make them.. A company named twin star makes them and if you have problems you contact them and not duraflame. Don't waste your money. Will not buy another. Duraflame product. Very disappointedly!!

Bought this last year worked well until high heat went out, then on coldest day low went out. My room is 12x12 not quite enough for really cold nights.

I have purchased 3 Duraflame heaters (different models, sizes), but they do not last more than 12-13 months if you use them regularly. I love the fireplace heaters and the flames do make you feel so cozy, but to have to replace them every winter season (which we have done now for 3 winters), is just a bit crazy to me. When they do work, they work well; not a great deal of heat, but a nice addition for a chilly room. I just wish they would last longer than one winter season. Our 3rd one just quit on us last night and was purchased December, 2013 --- this one has lasted the longest, but we now have to replace it. We rely on extra space heaters as our home is over 100 years old and cold in winter. I would recommend these heaters if you enjoy the style, warm glow of flames and have no problem with replacing it each season.
Rated 1 out of 5 by peanutface soryy to have bought it
I bought this for husband to use in a 400 hundred foot garage in the basement. It would only heat it up 5 degrees. the heaters we buy at the store for a lot less does a lot better job. you would be nice and toasty. Do not recommend this for heat.

I purchased this heater 2 winters ago. It worked fine but last year the heater stopped working and the guarantee was up so had to get rid of it. I'm afraid to buy another one. It was fine while it was working. I'll wait to see reviews but had to buy another brand. They don't seem to stand behind the product.

I love this heater that looks like a french stove for heating. Works great and uses very little electricity. I see some people are disappointed in this item. My suggestion is the following: buy a good quality surge protector, not the lowest end. In my house I have discovered that I must have surge protectors. All my computer equipment and printers are on a surge protector. I have another surge protector for my TV, cable box, DVD Player AND MY DURAFLAME Electric Stove. No problems so far. Used it all winter 2013.
