This heater is made by some company called Twin Star International. I bought this unit and it died after 6 months of actual usage. First the bulb died. Then 1 month later the whole unit died. If you like throwing your money away please purchase this heater, if you are like me and spend upwards of a hundred dollars on an item you feel should last a couple of years DO NOT BUY. I repeat DO NOT BUY. Your welcomed, I just saved you at least a hundred dollars.

Just finished it's second winer with us.
I live in a house that's over 100 years old with wooden windows. These heaters were a life saver!!!! Got one for master room and one for sons room. Our heater went out and we used these to keep us warm. The first winter we ran them everyday on high. This past winter we just used them to take the chill off. I guess we were lucky to get two good ones. I wasn't happy with the heating bills. They spoke of them costing very little on your heating bill.....not true!

Room Heater
This is a very attractive unit in our living room and it was used in the mornings to warm up the room, not continuously. We have not had this unit for even a year yet and it has completely stopped working. and unforturnately winter is not over in my area yet. So, here we are without a heater. I'm really disappointed because when it was working, it worked well. And I really liked the cheery fake fire.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
Bought one unit before Christmas of 2012, and loved it so much that a couple of monhs later I bought another one. Both worked fine until spring when they were put away. Took them out again in November, worked fine until January, then the first one died. Tried to contact the company, could not get anyone on the phone so I sent an e-mail. No e-mail response, but I received a box with a new fan/heater unit and installation instructions. I am not sure I want to pay an electrician $80.00/hour to replace the heating unit, with no guarantee it would work any longer than the first one did!! Contacted QVC, nothing happened. While waiting, the second heater died also, right on schedule about two months after the first one, so I guess they die after they are in operation less than one year in total. Conclusion: I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER DURAFLAME PRODUCT. If only one had failed I could believe I was just ulucky and got a lemon, but two died and seemingly on schedule... No way.

Gone
I really loved this little heater and living in Florida it is perfect. However when they say for the season that must be what it means. As with so many of the products it did not last. I am so dismayed and frustrated to continue purchasing products that are of such poor quality.
Now what do I do with this. Can it be repaired?

Didn't last
Bought this heater in Jan. 2012. Only ran it when we were home. On March 1 2013 the motor went out on it. It heated my home that my furnance did not kick on when the heater was running.
I did order one of the newer models. Hopefully this one will last a lot longer

Waste of money
My bathroom is very cold, I used this every day for several months. Now the blower is out in it and it is just a little over a year old. I expected it to last several years, not several months.

Very Pleased with Purchase
I had ordered a deifferent model (Duraflame) in Bronze and it worked for a couple of minutes...returned it, but was not able to get another one in bronze. So, I ordered this one. It works great. I've had it for about 3 months and have had no problems.

NOT A GOOD PURCHASE
PURCHASED THIS STOVE TWICE: FIRST TIME IT LASTED COUPLE OF WEEKS:
IT STARTED MAKING NOISES AND DIED. LIKED IT SO MUCH, RE PURCHASED IT AND AFTER ONE SEASON; STOVE DIED OUT AGAIN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

Disappointed
I purchased this at the end of Nov 2012 and had no problem assembling it, and it did take the edge off. I live in an older apartment building and it leakes cold air all the time during cold weather. However, now in Feb 2013 the fan has quit. I do not use it during the night or while I am at work, so it is not in constant use. The coils heat but the fan does not work, so the heat goes nowhere. QVC was very high on the units duraflame made, so I had higher expectations of the product. Have contacted duraflame, but will have to wait to see what resolution there is to this matter.

Works beautifully.
I purchased two stoves (different colors) last year. I have used them throughout this winter season as the price of fuel oil (main source of heating in my home) continues to rise. The stoves are great because the hot air is blown down and towards the floor, which is excellent for my feet when I am sitting working in my office. The stoves increase the temperature in each room sufficiently to reduce the number of times the furnace has had to come on. The heat is projected out for a couple feet and the room is quickly warmed. The remote is very handy. I am writing this review now as I am appreciating the stoves more every day when the price of fuel oil continues to rise in the Northeast. I have definitely gotten my money's worth from these "beautiful little workhorses" stoves. They are easily moved around and look great (red and bronze colored). Thank you QVC and Duraflame.

My favorite purchase
Every so often I find something that improves my life so much that I have to let others know. I purchased two of these in bronze hoping they would make my condo in Colorado less chilly. These efficient little heaters heat a room quickly A smaller size space becomes cozy and warm in a few minutes completely changing my attitude. I love sitting by this at night to watch tv but I have to fight my three small dogs and two sphynx (hairless) cats for that space as they love it too. I can't see how anyone could be anything but pleased with these little stoves. I plan to buy two more next winter to heat other rooms. I can understand that these would not make much difference in very large and very cold rooms, but for smaller spaces, these are fabulous. I would recommend this item for just about anyone who needs a safe and efficient heater.
