Too Quiet To Be Useful Like many people, I seldom have just one thing cooking at once. So the idea of a double timer is terrific. I purchased one for myself and one as a gift and I'm so glad that I tested mine before gifting the second. Although the timer is solidly made, the alerting bells simply aren't loud enough or continuous enough in length to be useful. One small quiet "ping" is lost in a kitchen full of activity. Mine was so quiet that I thought it was defective, so I tested the second and heard the same thing - one whisper "ping." This item is one of the most disappointing purchase I've ever made at QVC. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED. Both units will be returned. 06-02-12
