Such a Beautiful Bag!!
This is truly a breath taking bag!! I've been looking at this bag for months and finally decided to buy it in the denim and its just Beautiful!!! I have no issues with the zippers, everything works perfectly as it should! Now i just want the wallet to match!! :)

Loved it but...
Loved the size, pockets, shoulder strap and weight. However after using for two weeks, one corner was starting to peel. Just couldn't justify spending the money for something that was showing early wear.

I Love This Bag !
Purchased this in black and it is beautiful. To me, the embossing almost has the feel of real snake skin, and the bag has a lighter feel than most of my other DB's. I have used it non-stop and there is no sign of any peeling scales. My zippers were a little stiff at first but after about a week they were great. The top softened up after about 2 weeks and now folds over nicely. Now I want it in other colors. Love it!

Try again
I just received this in black (gorgeous) tonight. HOWEVER, I tried to adjust the strap to move the rivet/button so that the strap was as long as possible (disappointed the side buckles are not functional) and the rivet BROKE. Now, I was really working it and it wouldn't budge so I had my husband try. I've had east/west Dooneys with the same sort of strap that I was able to adjust. They are stiff at first, but this button was NOT moving! For a purse that costs this much, I would expect 1) the strap to adjust as indicated and, 2) NOT FALL APART.
I am going to have QVC replace it with the same item. In the meantime, I may call D&B direct to ask if this strap adjusts. Everytime the Dooney rep had the strap in her hand and would try to say something, Jane interrupted her. One other purchaser indicated they had adjusted the strap.

Great Bag
I was tossed up with the sizes that are offered. I bought this one because of the shorter strap and the 3 outside zippers. I was able to lengthen this strap to my desired length. Its perfect. Nice size bag, not as small as it looks. I ordered the black and its just beautiful. Its definitely not a black bag, its more brown, but beautiful colors. I feel FABULOUS carrying it. I did not choose the satchels because of the TOO LONG shoulder strap and boxy look. I made the right choice. Very happy with this bag.

finally, a great snake finish
Finally decided on this bag after ordering several Dooney styles for review. love the "different, more
stylish " look. Would be comfortable wearing most anywhere.Plenty of room, zippers are a little stiff
as others have mentioned, but get better with use.Ordered the black and love the different shades of color, black,gray,browns. As a senior with back problems the lighter weight is great. But most of all; love the embossed snake finish, no peeling noticed; very smooth finish."Merry Christmas to me"

SEEMS REALLY NICE
I've had no problems with zippers on this item from Dooney, although I have had it in the past, and all the bags are pricey, as well as this one, even with easy pay.
This is a lovely light weight bag that I think is worth the price, but only time will tell.
It is soft and manageable and has shape and quality.
The top portion sticks up a bit and doesn't lie flat. I hope in time it will flatten down and crease.
The snake skin has a unique appeal and Dooney quality, and it is different from other Dooney bags, not stiff and preppie looking.

Awesome
This bag is awesome. I love the richness and classy-ness of the python. I had received an e-mail from Dooney with the python pictured. I loved it. I went to the mall to see it in person. Could only fine a very few. Did find one of the larger bags in the black. Found one in the orange. The orange is fabulous, but not one for me. I could not find the denim, so I was unsure what I wanted. I searched QVC everyday in hopes that it would become available. I also could not decide between the small satchel and the east/west zip sac. I do not like a huge bag. I ordered both to compare. I love the satchel, but the strap is so long that it must be worn cross body. If the strap was more adjustable, it would be perfect. I prefer a shoulder bag. The east/west sac is beautiful and the strap is the perfect length. I will probably choose it. The zippers were a little stiff at first, but after zipping them a couple of times, they have loosened up. The python is wonderful. Very pretty, soft, and elegant.

Peeling Scales :(
I fell in love with this bag as soon as I saw it on TV. When it arrived I was blown away with the colors (Orange combo). Then I looked at the bottom and noticed where the bottom and sides come together, and a few other places, the embossing cut in too deep and where the folds were, there was raw leather exposed. Feeling the rest of the bag, I found a few more spots where the edges of the scales were sticking up--I think they would easily catch on things during everyday use and end up looking horrible. I'm soon disappointed - it will need to go back.

I've Been Eyeing This Bag
For the past few months. Bought this bag on the DB website because it wasn't available here yet. Like the previous reviewer, I am concerned about a few of the "scales" near where the bag bends. But since this won't be my everyday bag, I'm considering keeping it. I got it in Denim, so that I would have something to dress up my jeans. It's definitely bigger than I thought. And had a big enough drop in the strap that wearing it over the shoulder with a winter coat won't be a problem. I'm a plus-size woman living in NJ, so this was important to me. I haven't tried adjusting the strap, but it's good to know that if I wanted to give it a bigger drop, I have the option.

TOO BAD...
this is a beautiful bag but non of the side zippers can be open easily. And for over $400 price tag include shipping and tax, it should not be that way! So I return.

5 stars but returning
I normally give D&B handbags 5 stars even if I am returning for reasons like 'too large for my petite frame' or 'not functional for my needs' or other personal preference issues. This is a beautiful bag with great workmanship. It is true that it feels smooth for a snakeskin-embossed leather but . . . There are few snakeskin 'scales' where the tips separate from the base leather material. It doesn't seem like they will completely peel off but in areas where the material folds or slouches, I feel that more 'scale tips' could separate over in time. I just chose to return. Otherwise, it is a great and sharp-looking bag.
