This is a beautiful bag. I bought this in Wine and it is beautiful. Well made, great leather and substantial. My only complaints are it is heavy even when empty, leather is not as soft as I would like but am hoping it will soften with use and lastly the opening is a tad too small. But overall I am happy with my purchase.

...but it's not small. (Unless your handbags are the size of carry-on luggage.)
At 5'3", I'd describe Dixon as "medium"---for both the "smiling" hobo and envelope/tote/ messenger versions. During the presentation (and pic with model), it did look bigger than I'd normally wear, but because I liked the clean, classic lines---no extraneous outer pockets, panels, compartments, or hardware---I ordered two. (I have a helpful suggestion for QVC and D&B: Remove "small" from the description. Anyone scrolling the gallery looking for roomier bags might sail right past Dixon.)
Once received, packed somewhat flat...they looked even bigger in person. Measuring just to confirm, the height and depth were accurate, however the 11" width is not the *extreme* width. It's the length across the *bottom*, or midway up and across the bag---NOT from seam-to-seam, but when it's *filled*. If worn as an envelope/tote/messenger, it's 13.5" between the strap rings.
The Heather and Midnight Blue colors contrast perfectly with D&B's typically high-quality medium-toned straps and tassels, I'm sure rivaling the finest, most durable leather gear found in tack shops. Although the bags are new and still slightly stiff (normal), I'm relieved that they retain the "smiling" fold-over hobo shape when worn as shoulder bags, without having to continually push them down. Preferring that looser, swinging feel, at 5'3" I probably won't be wearing them as cross-bodies since they felt too big and bulky up against my body. But for someone taller, that might be fine.
Absence of feet? To me, they're unwarranted. On some structured satchels, yes, on Dixon, no. It stands upright on its own if even minimally filled---if that's anyone's concern. If it's an issue of feet *protecting the leather* from questionable surfaces, even if this bag HAD feet, you'd still have the long, dangling strap to contend with. I always avoid putting my bags on most surfaces outside my home, anyway---especially ones that are walked on or eaten on. As much as I wouldn't want the leather touching icky stuff, I wouldn't want the feet touching it, either.
Dixon is a sharp-looking "medium"-sized hobo, and as a shoulder bag I'd definitely recommend it.

Purchased this bag in wine, beautiful and very well-made. That being said I found the bag to be entirely too big for a gal who is only 5 feet tall. I read the sizing before purchasing but I honestly think it is bigger than it looked during the presentation. Looked great on the models but of course they were all tall girls. It seems to overtake me and of course as with most Dooney's it is a bit on the heavy side, even when empty. I hate to send it back but due to the size it just doesn't work for a small statured girl like myself. Sorry Dooney!

On the last two new bags that I started to order, there are no protective feet on the bottoms. I will not risk a beautiful bag not having that protection! Bring back the little feet! Please!!!

But I can't help it. This is the first time in my life I've splurged on a handbag. This one has sold me. I ordered the natural but received the dark brown. Called and returned the dark brown bag and within 2 days received the correct color. Excellent customer service! It love the cloth storage bag to keep the bag in good condition. It's an early Christmas present to me. The 4 easy payments allowed me to afford the bag. I'm short with small frame and this cross body is not overpowering. I love cross body to have my hands and arms free. The straps are adjustable so you can use it high or low on the hip. I like mine at my waist to cover a tummy flaw ha ha. Give yourself something nice!

OK this bag has the great Dooney leather and construction, and IT IS A NORMAL SIZED HANDBAG. I am sick of giant handbags that are big enough to be a briefcase. THIS IS NOT SMALL THEY JUST LABEL IT SMALL BECAUSE THE OTHER VERSION IS A PIECE OF LUGGAGE. THIS BAG IS TOO BIG TO BE A CROSS BODY UNLESS YOU HAVE A BUFFALO BODY. This crossbody label makes the strap too long, but it works great to buckle one side in the first hole then thread the strap down into the bag and buckle the second side in the last hole. The strap drop works great even over a coat.
If you want a great handbag THIS IS IT.
