Best leather handbag purchase
I was so intent on getting the natural the whole time, and instead, bought the chestnut color and it's gorgeous. The color is a lovely chocolate brown and the red zipper trim coordinates so well with the purse color. The strap can be unbuckled and looped through the O ring and then rebuckled for a shorter strap, if you like a shorter length. It's nice to be able to wear it both ways. The leather is super soft but retains its shape. Love the equestrian look to this bag. The size of the bag is perfect and the small is not a shy small. There is plenty of room inside. I like the leather duck logo over the newer brass logo. Any distress markings are a natural part of the hide and give every bag a slightly different personality, like a fingerprint. I am looking forward to enjoying my new Dooney purse.

Love this purse
I originally got the purse in Bordeaux and loved it so much came back and ordered it in Plum the next time it was on 5 value pays. I want to reorder it in the white too. It is slightly heavy but is lighter than alot of the name brand leather purses I own. My only wish is that the shoulder strap could be doubled to make it shorter or it was more adjustable to shorten it up. I love the organization of the purse, the leather, and the look.

I just realized you can see the weight of each bag. Will check that before ordering a Dooney again.

SUCH A RICH LOOKING BAG !!
I ONLY GAVE 4 STARS BECAUSE OF THE SMALL OPENING. I THOUGHT I MIGHT HAVE TO RETURN BECAUSE OF IT BUT IT'S OK. THE COLOR IS ABSOLUTLY STUNNING !! GOT SO MANY COMPLIMENTS JUST THE FIRST DAY I CARRIED IT. IT'S VERY "COACH" LIKE WHICH I LOVE BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOTTEN AWAY FROM LEATHER ALOT. THIS BAG WILL BE HERE LONG AFTER I'M GONE !! SUCH REMARKABLE QUALITY ! LOVE THAT YOU CAN CARRY SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS, I REALLY APPRECIATE THE REMOVABLE STRAP BECAUSE I DO LIKE TO CARRY ON MY SHOULDER SOMETIMES. ONE THING I REALLY DON'T LIKE IS THE RED AND GREEN INSIDE THE BAG IT REALLY CLASHES WITH ALL THE COLORS THEY MAKE IN THIS BAG BUT THANK GOD THEY'RE ON THE INSIDE AND YOU CAN'T SEE THEM ALL THE TIME . PLEASE DOONEY CONSIDER DOING ANOTHER COLOR FOR THE INSIDE. ALSO CONSIDER MAKING THE OPENING BIGGER. I HATE FIGHTING TO GET IN AND OUT OF A BAG.

Disappointed
I fully expected that a handbag that width at the bottom would have a generous opening but it idoes not open wide and is shorter across than the handbag. You can't just "reach in" to get something, you have to stand it up to view the contents.
Regret having to return it.

D&B OMG!
This is not my first Dooney, but it might be my favorite. Lusciously soft leather and superb craftsmanship. I bought the plum and looove this color. Please make more styles in this color!

Never returned a Dooney before but
I returned my purse for 2 reasons - (1) the top zipper is shorter than the length of the bag, and I found it hard to get things in and out of it and (2) I ordered the teal and found it to be more navy.

2nd One Of This Small Satchel Bag
The first bag that I purchased was the Taupe. It is very functional and has lots of pockets inside to accommodate all the things that I carry in a bag. Love the several different ways that it can be carried, Liked the Taupe bag so much that I ordered the red. The quality of leather in this bag is excellent and I am sure with care that It was last for many years. I highly recommend this bag to any lady that wants lasting quality in a bag.

Leather is not original florentine
Leather on this bag feels and looks like cardboard. Nothing like the original GEORGEOUS Florentine.
I own mini satchel orderered june 2012 and the Toggle cross body I ordered 2011.
They are absolutely georgeous. So.... I ordered 2 morebags this March.
They were NOT the beautiful lucious original florentine leather. They don't even smell like leather.
Sadly, I won't be buying any more Florentine bags.

It's Perfect!
I love this bag, only complaint I have is the red zipper. Why??? I got taupe,which is a lot darker then I thought. I love the color. I wish you would put a pocket on front of this smaller size bag. I love the Smith bag but it is toooo big for me. So in this size bag couldn't you put front pocket and the cell phone pocket on back. That would make this bag perfect. I love this bag!

Beautiful Bag!
This is not the first Dooney I've gotten from Qvc and it won't be the last.Love the color , tassels , and shade of bag. True, the shoulder strap could have been a bit shorter and the zippered opening a little longer but it all works for me. Gorgeous bag and very well made. Even though the opening could have been a little larger can still fit reader or Ipad in there. The natural color ages beautifully as my daughter has had hers for 6 months and the leather gets softer and softer. You won't be sorry if you order this bag. I don't know why people complain about these things. You can go to any department store and see it or try out the size. I hope Dooney continues with their wonderful quality and designs and I hope QVC keeps on having Easy Pay.
