Best bag in my collection!
I had been waiting and waiting for this bag... I can't tell you how many times I almost purchased this bag, but because it's such an investment I would back out. Let me tell you... I wish I got this bag the second I first saw it and I would have had almost a year full of wearing this bag. I purchased it in the black and the matte gold hardware really pops. There is brown whip stitching around the handle, which makes it easy to pair it with black or brown. The green suede accents on the inside and the tassel is so rich. The mini size is not mini at all, it's pretty average. I can fit my iPad mini in it just fine and my full size wallet. It's perfectly scaled for my 5'2" frame. I HIGHLY recommend this bag, if you like it in any size you should purchase it.

Absolute LOVE
I absolutely LOVE this bag, as I knew I would. Being a petite woman, this bag is the
perfect size for me. It's roomy enough for my belongings but doesn't overwhelm in
size. It has a good weight to it, not too heavy or bulky. The leather is gorgeous, soft
with a nice firmness...it has great embellishments, hardware and overall design.
This bag is just plain " FIRST CLASS", but I wouldn't expect less from Dooney & Bourke!

Great Bag
This is an awesome bag. It is the perfect size! Not too big and not too small --just perfect. I like medium size bags and I would say although it is labled "mini" it is big enought to fit everything you need. I have even fit my daughters kindle fire in here when she was tired of carrying it. The leather is beautiful and wears well. Love, love, love.
Please bring this bag in some fun colors like the orange or green that is out for spring!!

Not Right For Me
I ordered this style in an "As Is" offer. The color was beautiful in Taupe, and there were no flaws. However, the opening was too small and it did not have an outside pocket, so I returned it. I have two other florentine D&B bags with outside pockets that I really love.

My New Favorite Bag!!
I got this bag in the dark brown. Absolutely love it! Big black wearer of work clothes and this bag color is perfect. To me the size is perfect, no mini. I like this size for my work bag. No outside pocket but I have been carrying the bag for a couple weeks and hasn't been a problem. Lots of organization inside. I have about six D&B and this is my new favorite.

Really wanted to love it...
I was so excited to get this bag in Plum. However, It was darker than I thought it would be and you can't really tell what color it is unless you're out in the sunlight. It was very heavy(due to all the hardware), and the strap is so narrow that it digs into your shouler and is very uncomfortable. What good is a bag if it hurts to carry it??Should have an adjustable wider tab at the top of the strap for comfort. Also the leather scratches really easy. I love the style and the leather but for $400 (incl s&h and taxes) I wanted to LOVE it like I do my other Dooneys. If it had a comfortable strap and the dusty blue or olive I would have fell in love. I will continue to buy my Dooneys on QVC for the easy pay but this one I'm afraid is going back :'-(

Beautiful bag
I really loved the look of the bag, however, it is not user friendly. You can't just grab it and go. The top has to flapped down because the handles are very short. I like a shoulder bag and assumed I would be using strap that comes with it. It is both too thin and too long. I really wanted to love this bag; it's so pretty (I got the dark brown), but I sent to back already. It's a perfect size for a smaller bag. It holds a lot, though the opening was a bit small,it was big enough.

Beautiful but not functional
I fell in love with the beauty of this bag (dark brown/T'moro) but ended up returning for the full size satchel. Size is not "mini", but zipper length takes away what you can fit into bag. I thought this would be perfect size until I tried to function with the few items I carry regularly: 1) zip around wallet (check book size), 2) iPhone, 3) sunglasses (w/ hard protective case), 4) lip gloss. Sadly, it came down to the sunglasses & I found myself leaving the case behind in order to zip the purse, leaving my expensive sunglasses unprotected, but those were an investment too, so I ended up purchasing the full size satchel. It is big, & can become heavy, but beautiful. Do wish this size would have worked, looked better on my petite frame, but without longer zipper it was too frustrating to fight with. Hope this helps-get the bag-in the right size

IT'S GOING BACK TO QVC
I love Dooney & Bourke but do not love this bag. I bought the black and hate that when you open it you see bright green. I think it's too big to be called "mini"- it's just not the bag for me. Looked smaller on tv. o it's being returned to QVC

BEAUTIFUL BAG BUT , THIN SHOULDER STRAP
The leather bag is just beautiful in black, but why the THIN SHOULDER STRAP??? I was waiting for this to go on easy pay. I was so excited when it arrived as this was my Xmas present to me.
The bag is some what heavy ,but having wider straps would have helped. The thin strap cuts into my shoulders. Also wished it had a bigger opening and an outside pocket.
I'm very happy with the Dooney & Bourke Croco Embossed Leather Safari Bag and Leather Medium Pocket Satchel with Accessories Item A7511. The bag is heavy,but can deal with it much better as it has a wide strap. Wish Dooney would sell straps separate. Really hate to send it back,its a beauty ! I still will give it a 4 star rating

Five Star Club...Count Me In With Pleasure
I have been admiring the Dooney and Bourke Mini Florentine Satchel for months. In addition, I have purchased several other Dooney bags, all of which have been impeccably constructed and lovely but were just too large for my needs (as well as my frame.)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have posted your reviews and/or have taken the time to answer my questions. (ie: BMWCarol, tootie, Cyndieeee, PatsyC, HenriPips,)
My t-moro (dark brown) bag arrived today, and at the risk of sounding effusive, I will spare you all my delighted exclamations upon opening the (very carefully packaged) contents.
To borrow BMWCarol's words: "Simple, refined elegance", but which does not exude overindulgence...
This bag is an example of Dooney and Bourke's superior craftsmanship, attention to detail, and moreover, appreciation for women from all walks of life, be they professionals, athletic ladies, busy moms, retirees,...anyone woman who desires a timeless, classic look, and quality which is worth every penny.
Insofar as the details, I would not consider this a heavy handbag; should it feel that way to some, I believe that that is a nod to the quality of the leather. It is a mid-size bag, visibly smaller than the medium Florentine satchel, (with which I began my Dooney Florentine leather search; please see my question on the Q&A board and peruse the responses by the afore-mentioned ladies. They are all spot on!)
Also, being somewhat of a purist, I admire so much the T-Moro Brown color. It is the deepest brown, comparable to dark chocolate. Lovely, indeed!
I banished all of my other "good" leather bags from my closet this morning; made the trip to Good Will, sporting my new Florentine leather Dooney mini satchel. It will have its place with what has begun to be my new, ( albeit small thus far), "Nothing but D & B Collection". Who needs a plethora of handbags that do not endure when a few "last a lifetime beauties" such as this occupies one's closet?

Timoro Yum!
I didn't think I'd like the bag based on the "mini" descriptor and the fact that there's no outside slip pocket. However, I fell in love with the color and the professional, career woman appearance. Since I am trying to train myself not to dive for my cell phone when it rings, this bag is working quite well for me. It's not as confining as my other Dooney (yes, I have several) cross body bags - it holds my big wallet and huge wad of keys. I find that I use the cross body strap most of the time. If you don't need an outside slip pocket on your purse, you'll fall in love, too.
