Dooney & Bourke Florentine & Suede North/South Tote is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Florentine Leather and It Collapses I ordered the black as I needed a really good black bag to carry stuff for work. This bag does hold the normal file folders (stuck in), but what struck me about this bag is: (1) the leather (suppose to be Florentine - highest quality - thick, premium leather feel and look) and (2) the leather quality is deficient - thin leather, not able to stand up, and texture is not Florentine leather from Florentine, Italy. I do not know what is going on lately with D&B bags, but I have returned all except for the Brenna satchel (which is pebble leather). The leather in this Florentine & Suede North/South Tote almost mimics a poly-leather, does not have the look and feel of what should be Florentine.Very concerned about where D&B is going. I guess the bags I have will keep me in good stead as they are older ones. Very sad as I have always liked D&B.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The straps are not holding I love Dooney and Burke and own several purses, felt in love once I saw this purse., BUT the straps are very uncomfortable straps. It will not stay put , the straps keep falling off my shoulder. this seems simple, but seriously is very inconvenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dooney at it's best This tote is everything I wanted and more. It is the most beautiful Dooney I own. The suede and the straps with brass add an element of sophistication, not that it needs it. I will wear it year around and i am sure that 5 or 10 years from now it will look exactly the same. The best feature for me are the straps. The stitching is beautiful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ve Not happy, very uncomfortable straps. It irritates my underarm and the straps keep falling off my shoulder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality I'm in love with the Florentine collection and it is just hard to resist when I see another style. However, this one in particular is just not for me. I think it's the shorter handles, because it doesn't wear well with a thick coat. I received a brand new product and although it took 10 days for standard shipping, it was packed nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy I do like this Dooney Bourke tote, i have been looking for a good Navy Blue and I can say this is a true Navy. If I were to make any changes I would add a pocket on the outside back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Style, Slightly Heavy Watched this bag because I liked the magnetic closure, so that feature is good. For me at 5 ft, this is a lot of bag and I don’t carry too much inside; perhaps it is good for work purposes. The straps are double so they are strong but adds to the weight. The combination of the Florentine and suede is nice. I may look for one of the crossbodies in this line since it would be much lighter. The clearance price is why I ordered but sadly will return...maybe will reorder if price goes any lower.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does Not Appear To Be Florentine To Me I first bought the Florentine suede crossbody in charcoal. Liked it so much I bought the Maya hobo which is in the same family. Both gorgeous. When I saw this tote listed As Is I decided to get it. This is something I never have done so it tells you how much I like this line of bags charcoal) The florentine leather on this tote (charcoal) is not like the other 2 bags. It looks to me like pebbled leather. It looks more like my zip zip satchel in pebbled leather than the other 2 florentines I purchased in this series. I also have other Dooney florentines and this bag is not like any of them. I understand As Is means get what you get but if it says Florentine leather I expect it to be recognizable as Florentine and this is not.
