Bitter Sweet
My favorite bag that I have ever purchased from QVC. But, recently I discovered that this bag was 40% off at a Dooney &Bourke outlet in Florida. My sister-in-law purchased one for my sister.
This is not the first time it has happened. Last year a co-worker purchased the bag I wanted from qvc @ a Dillards Department store for half the price. QVC still have that bag online for the full price. I will not buy it.

Work Horse And Gorgeous
If you are looking for a stylish large bag from Dooney, this could be perfect. The design is excellent, it is the dillen leather, so it will wear forever. I bought the taupe trimmed in the saddle leather, truly a Dooney and Bourke classic!

FIRST DOONEY BAG I KEPT!
I FIND THAT MOST OF THE DOONEY BAGS ARE WAY TOO HEAVY. THEY HAVE LOVELY LEATHERS BUT NEED TO FIND A WAY TO MAKE THEIR LEATHERS LIGHTER. WHEN YOU ADD YOUR 'STUFF' THEY ARE JUST TOO CUMBERSOME. THIS BAG WAS OK IN THAT DEPT. "AND" IT WAS SO GORGEOUS THAT I JUST HAD TO KEEP THIS ONE. LOVELY DETAILING; WHIPSTITCHING ON THE HANDLE, BEAUTIFUL HARDWARE, TASSLES AND ALL. THIS ONE IS A WINNER BUT NOT SURE WHY IT ONLY CAME IN THREE ORDINARY COLORS. THIS BAG WOULD LOOK STUNNING IN SOME OF THE NEWER FASHION FORWARD COLORS. GET WITH IT!

CLASSY AND STYLISH!!
I got this handbag in black and it was worth every penny. It reminds me of a luxury car in shiny black with a saddle tan interior....GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!!! You have gotta get this bag if you are a big, handbag girl. When I put on my office skirts and blouses and pop this bag over the shoulder, it really makes you feel classy and professional. Put on a pair of jeans and pair of leather boots and grab this bag, Wow, sooooo stylish! Another great Dooney!!

Awsome bag...yet, not for me
This an AWSOME bag! Size, style...you name it! The ONLY reason I sent it back was do to the strap issue. Its fine in the summer if you are not wearing a sweater or coat, or with bare arms. Anything other than that, and it MAY be uncomfortable. And I say may because some are fine with a hand held bag..just not me. It hurt my heart to have to send it back. But I am a shoulder bag girl. Maybe if it came with an additional longer strap like some of the other satchels come with??

Not what I expected
Just finished packing this up to send back.
I give it 3 stars for being a beautiful bag:
well-constructed, sturdy and substantial, and very stylish.
For me, though, the minuses outweighed the plusses.
The size is enormous. It is more like a piece of carry-on luggage than a handbag. It is VERY heavy and with all my 'stuff' inside, felt like I was carrying around an elephant.
I agree with the reviewer who said that after she added her contents, the sides began to collapse. I too had that experience and it made the bag look top-heavy and off-balance. It may be that the bag actually IS too large and heavy on top as compared to the sides and base.
My main problem with it though was the handles. They are rounded and whip-stitched, of very stiff leather, and are substantial in diameter. They LOOK absolutely beautiful, but are way too short to go over MY shoulder comfortably. Because there are two of them, it is doubly hard to keep them on the shoulder; I found myself having to hold them on my left shoulder with my right hand. After a while I had to give up and just let the handles slide down into the bend of my arm, where I soon developed forearm fatigue and soreness due to the weight of the bag.
What IS it with Dooney that they will construct a bag with this much leather and expensive detail, then skimp an inch and a half on the handles?! Unless you have a VERY thin upper arm and never plan to wear a coat, you are going to have the same problem. I have had to send back more great bags for this reason than for any other, and I know other women also often complain about this issue.
Dooney, if you're listening, please address this once and for all. Any purse that is supposed to be an over-the-shoulder bag needs at LEAST a 10 - 10-1/2 inch strap drop. Some Dooney bags easily have this much drop and they look and feel fabulous, so what's the deal with the rest?
So sad that this otherwise-great bag wasn't just a little smaller, a little lighter, and with a little more strap length; it would definitely have been a keeper.

Love It
When I just received this bag in the mail I totally loved it. It's pretty and holds up a lot of stuff! I highly recommend this bag to anyone that loves big purses:)

5 Stars and 10 Hearts...
I love this bag. Seriously love it. I have the taupe and it is stunning, seasonless and sooooo gorgeous! Wish it were a little bigger, but the style and quality make up for the size. It is a big bag for most people, but I live out of my handbag, so I like 'em B-I-G!!!
If you are on the fence, give it a go -- you will seriously have this bag for life. When you dollar-cost-average the price over a lifetime, it's way more economical than buying a bunch of cheaper bags! You will not be sorry. It is a dream bag!

LUX LUX LUX!!!
This bag screams high class! You will receive nothing but compliments. I'm a big bag girl and this bag fills my big bag heart! It's roomy and spacious! It has form. It fits my tote-sized Pursfection with ease. The leather is scrumptious. It's not heavy on it's own. It's just the perfect bag. The tassels, the leather straps on every side - it's just a perfect D&B bag. I own the taupe color and it goes with everything. Do not hesitate ladies. This bag turns heads. People want to know who you are when you are spotted carrying this bag! 5 STARS would give 10 if I could!

Gigantic great bag
This is a really large bag. It can hold a ton of stuff. Love the leather and love the black with the tan detailing. If you want a really large bag this is the one.
