Don Aslett's Set of 2 Rubber Brooms w/Telescoping Poles
Not like the last one I bought
Neither broom telescoping handle would lock. Called the Aslett company and they said sometimes they are tight when shipped from the factory. Put a hairdryer on them and got them to release but could never get them to lock. Ended up putting a hose clamp on the handles to hold them in place. I like the broom and it wasn't worth sending them back for replacements.
I was happy when I seen this aired but when it came in the mail one of the handles will not lock or adjust, it just slides up and down. So its going back. Also I was hoping it would be good for removing pet hair from my wool rug that is so hard to vacuum up. But its hard to move across the rug. It takes a lot of back and forth to get the hair to move, so guess I'll stick to the vacuum.
Great for Broken glass, leaking water!!
We own 2 sets of these brooms as our homeowner basic. Not sure how we lived without them. Perfect for broken glass in home with kitty paws. One near garage door for garage snow slush, one near furnace/water heater, one in laundry room. Perfect for straightening fringe on oriental rugs. Great to wash head in soap and water for fresh use next time. Give a try. HTH :)
These brooms are amazing!
I have been using the same ones for many years to take the snow off cars! They do not hurt the vehicles in any way! We have several apartment communities and my staff remove the snow from the tenants vehicles when they shovel the sidewalks! You sure couldn't risk that liability with any other broom! I will be buying more for the winter season so we don't have to haul the two we have everywhere! I have never used them for any other purpose but snow and they are a valuable item in our line of work!
Great For Sweeping Carpet!
I have long hair and this broom is better than any vacuum cleaner at removing it from the carpet and bathroom floor. Love it!!
The very first time I used it, it broke at the base. Don't waste your money.
Aslett's Rubber Brooms
I should have read the reviews. These brooms are cumbersome to use.. I have to get a regular broom to sweep into a dust pan. They havent broken though.. probably because I just dont use them.
Ok not great
the broom part tends to be a bit small, not very wide. The ones in the hardware and big box stores do a much better job. I'd stick with them.
1 for me and 1 for you?
This was my second Don Aslett rubber broom purchase. I was talking with a cousin coming in for Christmas and as I was recommending this product to him since I use it everyday on hardwood floors, I looked up the broom on QVC.com, not knowing it was now sold in a set. On the spot I decided to purchase this set, keeping one for me and gifting the other to him. I have loved this broom and it's prior 'look' for many years, now having one on each floor of our home for cleaning with ease. I have used this broom to sweep a broken bulb and not one shard was left for me. It also never fails to amaze me what the broom is able to pick up when it looks like nothing is there. Thank you Don Aslett for this wonderful item!
handles broke right away
I got both handles of same color but not a big deal. But both handles broke right where they screw into the broom. Very cheap.
broke after first use
I think the brooms are awful. I have hardwood floors and they don't glide. One of the brooms broke immediately. Not worth sending back, it costs too much. Just going to throw both away and make sure I always check reviews before I purchase anything.
Don't Waste Your Money ,,,,,,
I bought 2sets. Both blue came defective. Sent them back. Then my friend gave me. The green broom. It broke after its first use. I threw it away. Have yet to hear about the second green broom. This is the first poor quality I have received from qvc.
