V28650 - Don Aslett's Set/2 Rubber Brooms w/Telescoping Handle & Brush
Best Broom Ever!!!
I have four shedding type dogs. This broom is the greatest for sweeping the dog hairs off the hardwood floors. I also use it to clear snow from my SUV. It won't scratch like regular brooms. My neighbor was so impressed with it, so I'm buying a set for her for her birthday. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the handle has issues with staying tightly screwed on. Otherwise, this is the greatest broom I've ever owned. Thanks QVC for continuing to bring the greatest products.
Best Tool For Removing Cat Hair From Hardwood
I have been using a previous version of this broom for over four years and couldn't be without it. With three cats and hardwood floors in the house the hair is always there. Not only does it pick up the cat hair it brooms dust and other particles that you don't always see on your hardwood floors. The newer version with more "fingers" in the broom is even better. The little brush is excellent for removing cat hair from upholstery, bed spreads, pillows and anything else the little darlings find to sleep on. A big thumbs up on this set of tools!
Great broom for wooden floors
I don't understand the previous reviews that it breaks and leaves dirt. I've had nothing but a great experience with this broom.
It glides on my wood floors and picks up everything in sight, and probably a few things I can't even see. I can walk around with white socks after a sweep and they remain clean.
It's also a great size so it gets the work done much faster than a regular sized broom and the rubber bristles even pick up dirt from under the beds and sofa.
My Chinchillas Enjoy the Small Hand Brush better
than the wire brush the I bought from the breeder's recommendation. For those having problems with the broom staying attached, try either a paper towel (or Teflon tape) wrapped around the screw part of the pole. It will make a snug fit, and the broom should stay together. Also don't dig the brush in the rug so hard. They worked decently on my carpet to jiggle the dirt out so my vacuum would get it. These brushes are much better for your car as they won't scratch the paint as a bristle broom does!!!. Good Gift for anyone who needs to clean carpets or snow off your car. Don Aslett, my Chinchilla girls (Sherrie, Chloe, and Andria) thank you for their soft purple brush.
more work than expected
I recently purchased the rubber brooms because I have 2 dogs. I thought this would be a quick sweep of the "rubber broom" on the couches and small area rug (6x6) in my room and "all clean".... Just like Don showed us on QVC...No more getting out the vaccuum cleaner!!!.......However, it took more work/energy and many, many, many sweeps across the couches than expected to "lift" the dog hair from the furniture and the rug. After all was done, I had to get the vaccuum cleaner out anyways to suck up what I just swept with the rubber broom!!!......For "touch up jobs" my lint roller does the same thing as the rubber broom with less work and cheaper...............I think I'll stick to just vaccuuming.
Broke on SECOND USE
The second time I used the blue rubber broom, the stem that screws into the broom handle cracked and broke, rendering the blue broom completely useless. I cannot get the cracked stem out, nor can I attach the blue broom to the other handle. Since I tossed the box, I cannot return it. (To keep all the boxes for everything I order from QVC would create a lot of clutter!) What a drag.
Nothing like I saw on TV
I haven't found anything these work on. They just bounce across any floor I've tried them on.
The best ever for carpets and cats
However, would love to know where I just purchase the small hand brush. I looked on Don Aslett website and could not find it. If anyone out there knows where I can get another 1 or 2 of the hand brush, please comment. Thanks.
all that it say....
I bought this as a caller said they used 1 of the brooms to clean snow off the car, and as I just bought a convertible, thought this would be great for the winter. The telescopic handle makes it great to keep in the trunk. The amazing thing was a used it this weekend to clean leaves on my indoor outdoor carpet on my porch. not only did it remove the leaves, it took up the dog hair from a visiting frineds dog! I had used the leave blower in the past, but the hair just stuck to it....not this time. The carpet looks almost as nice as the day I laid it. and the little hand brush is nice to spot claen after my son. I hope it works to remove the snow from the roof of my car just as well....definately a great item, and value!
Try it, if you don't like it, QVC will take it back, but I doubt you won't love it!
GREAT OUT ON THE DECK
I didn't recall anyone mentioning you can use this on the deck, especially sweeps up all those small leaves quickly and easy to sweep under all those larger pieces of furniture without moving things around. I used it on the carpet, no problem just remember to go with the nap for the best results, and it absolutely works great on laminate/ceramic tile sweeping up even the smallest crumbs. I have two large dogs so this worked great for keeping those hairs sweeped up quickly without having to drag out the vacuum every time. I feel this is a great product for my needs.
Overpriced rubber squeeqee..
I am sorry that I bought these, with the shipping charges - not worth it - a broom can suffice. The handle keeps unscrewing as I use it.....
Not working for me AND handle problems
I am a fan of many of Don Aslett's products but this one does not deliver as advertised. Like many folks, I am having the same problem with the handle loosening frequently during use which is very frustrating. Additionally, I have 2 cats and I used these brooms to try to get pet hair out of my dining room rug and stair runner. They didn't pick up any hair except for the hair that stuck to rubber because of the static. I used it to clean snow this morning and again, just ok. Not as good as the snowbrush in my car AND, the handle continually unscrewing is infuriating. I am not sure if I will return it because it will be expensive to return so I may try and keep it and see if I can FIND a use for them. Not a good purchase.
