Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective Dirt Catcher I recently received two of these in green, one for the front door, the second for the back. They absolutely trap the dirt. Some other reviewers mentioned a odor upon receipt but mine did not have any off smell. Absolutely pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've bought 3! Love this mat. I bought one, went back for a second and again a third! I have then at every outdooor entrance to my home. They stop the dirt and are always full so I know it's working! I just rinse or shake them off. Love. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size I own several Don Aslett mats already. Needed something to replace a mat that fell apart in the wash. Reading the reviews of this one I was worried it would smell bad. Indeed, a sniff of the mat still in the box detected a chemically smell. But we put it down inside the door from our garage and there was no smell. I like the color and the design and it appears to be catching the dirt. It lies flat and doesn't slip around. Definitely better than what it replaced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Intense Rubber Odor Like so many of us, I read the reviews on products before ordering. I noticed that many had stated that there was a strong rubber odor coming off this mat. I figured that some people may just have a high sensitivity to it. I ordered it anyway in the Brick color. Love this mat, the color, and the ridged texture, and the weight. Without question, there's an offensive rubber odor. I wanted to use it just inside the door in my mud room. My dog won't even go near it. So now I'm using it outside by the porch door. Now it could be my rug was from a particular "rubbery" batch. Should be outdoor use only. Hope you have better luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rug Beautiful brick red color. I use it for a back door out to the yard. All grass, leaves and dirt stay on the rug leaving my kitchen floor clean! There was a slight odor when I first opened it. Laid it out in sun for awhile smell was gone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very disappointed that the color faded I like this doormat in terms of functionality, and it lives up to the advertising in that regard. However, I ordered two identical doormats in the same color so I could have one at the front door and the same one at the back door. Imagine my surprise when the one at the front door faded to an entirely different blah beige color because there is sun in the front, while the one at the back door in the shade stayed its nice rosy color. I am very disappointed; it seems to me that the doormat should be impervious to weather conditions such as sunshine since it is obvious it will be used outdoors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rugs for entry areas First, I ordered the tan color because that's all available. I was pleasantly surprised to find it's a mocha color, not drab tan. Second, and very important, other reviewers complained about the smell of these rugs, and the smell is horrible. The whole house smelled like a tire factory within only an hour or so. But with a little research I found a solution.... Fill a tub or large sink with soapy water (using dawn dishwashing liquid) and about two cups of white vinegar. Then let the rug soak for about 45 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and place outside to air dry for at least a few hours. I left mine outside overnight and until the afternoon of the next day. Both rugs are now back in my house and no rubber tire smell. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not very happy The rug itself is very nice but the smell of the rubber on the back is so bad, I put this inside my front door and my whole house smells of rubber. I've tried several times putting it outside to air out but it does not work. I have had it in the front porch for a few weeks now and the smell is still as strong. For that reason I am not happy with this product.
