BEAUTIFUL!
I saw this on-air, thought it was lovely and ordered it. Frankly, I was hesitant because I wear a 1X and am just under 6 feet tall. The thought of ruffles on my frame might be a much and may look ridiculous. Well, was I in for a treat when I unwrapped the box. It was absolutely gorgeous!! The jacket is extemely well crafted with a beautiful satin lining. I ordered it in ivory and it fit perfectly. Grab this quick and lucky you, it is on clearance - I paid full price!

Quality Assurance?
I really like this jacket, however, one button was off, the other two were hanging by a thread, literally. It came rolled awkwardly in a bag.... not typical of Dennis Basso. I found the jacket to be true to size. The sleeves were long, but easily rolled up. I am not sure if I'll reorder.

Skimpy
I ordered the 2X Ivory, and was pleased with the fabric. It's more like a moleskin than a suede, but it's nice. However, according to the body measurements online, I should have had over 5" of extra fabric in the bust to be able to wear a sweater under it in the winter. In fact, wearing just a T shirt when I tried it on, it did not button!!! Also, the collar didn't stand up in back as it does in the photo which would have made the neckline much cuter.
Just a note, QVC should give the bust measurement, not the measurement 1" under the armhole for the chest measurement. That's why bras have cup sizes. The difference between someone who wears a AA and a DD is huge. We need the measurement at the center of the chest. Not the measurement under the arm!!!

Fabric not so faux suede as others
I own other Basso jackets and had looked forward to getting this one, I'm replacing my black jackets for career suiting and loved the style and cut of this one. I also love the look and lighter weight of "faux suede", expecially moleskin which I thought this might be. I am so disappointed with this fabric, I just don't like it, it has a weird finish to it and seems stiff and papery... very strange. I just could not see myself wearing it all day at work... it's got an odd feel like recycled cardboard... I don't know! Just felt cheap. I returned it and I don't usually write negative reviews but I want Dennis to PLEASE do this EXACT JACKET in some other material! Moleskin or some other faux suede would be great. The design and sizing are perfect.

A Jacket For All Seasons
Bought this as a gift for my Aunt on her 85th B'Day. She loved everything about it! Still a very stylish dresser, she gets around with ease. Material feels like real suede! Seems to have a faint jacquard print or else its the nap in the material. Either way its gorgeous for resort evenings, vacation cruises or out to dinner complimenting any outfit & worn in all seasons. Well designed with small ruffle at the neckline, light weight & cuffs that turn up for more petite arm lengths, without exposing sateen lining, a nice feature. With so many new materials washable, this one is 'dry clean only.'
Runs a tad large. Exchanged the Medium for a Small, but not a problem. Great Dennis Basso quality & a big hit with my Aunt! I also heard her daughter mention it would be a jacket she'd love to borrow!

PERFECT CONSTRUCTION, FOR A MOMENT I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL SUEDE,I HAVE SUEDE ITEMS IN MY CLOSET AND THIS LOOKS AND FEELS JUST LIKE REAL SUEDE, MATTER OF FACT THIS FEELS AND LOOKS A BIT BETTER, THE QUALITY IS OFF THE CHARTS AND IT IS SUCH A COUTURE JACKET, I CANT WAIT TO WEAR IT, SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO INCORPORATE THIS INTO YOUR WARDROBE, DONT HESITATE TO BUY, IT TRULY IS A GEM, WAY TO GO DENNIS ITS A WINNER

WOW!!
This blazer is fabulous! Bought it in black and just ordered the ivory. It fits like a dream - classic and slimming- and the ruffle gives it such a feminine look that really frames my face. Best purchase ever!
