Absolutely The Best!!!
I was hesitant about jpurchasing this coat. I thought it might be too daring for me. Well let me tell you I was presently surprised. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the color, but most of
all it is so light weight and comfortable to wear.. I just love to wear it and it is so warm. It is a great investment and well worth the money.

OMG - Do I love this coat!
I was very impressed with this coat when I took it out of the box, but I must confess I wasn't sure if it was worth the money because it is a more flamboyant coat than I am used to wearing. But it was so soft and light that I really wanted to keep it. So I promised myself that I would wear it a few times to work and see how I feel about it. Well....I wear this coat everywhere (except to the gym). It is so very light, but so very warm, and It goes with EVERYTHING. I have worn it to work, grocery shopping, out with friends, everywhere. Its the first coat I grab every morning, and it never actually made it into the coat closet.

Beautiful Coat but so BIG!
I love Dennis Basso coats, they are the best. And I should no better than to buy a Basso true to size, but none of the reviews said anything about the sizing so I bought my regular size and it's HUGE! Now I have to pay to ship it back and what's worse WAIT TWO WEEKS until the coat I am returning makes it back to QVC and then hope for the best that it's not sold out by the time it gets there. This is a BEAUTIFUL coat but I am so annoyed with this whole process. It shouldn't be happening. ANYONE WHO BUYS THIS COAT DEFINITELY SIZE DOWN. I have a wool sweater on tonight and I was swimming in this jacket. Other than sizing, it's a wonderful coat. Gorgeous, so soft, nice neutral colors. I can't wait to wear it just wish I didn't have to wait so long!!!!!

Close to Perfection but...
This coat is very well made and very, VERY soft!
I loved absolutely everything about it... EXCEPT for the overly busy pattern.
I felt that the various patches of color (none of which are "green") were slightly too large. Perhaps the large patches of coloring might have worked though, if all the groupings of colors hadn't all been basically the same size. For me, that sameness in size, of such a busy pattern, was simply too overpowering. I felt like the coat was wearing me... and not vice-vesa.
However, this is merely my personal preference, and I'll quickly add that for some people such a dominating pattern may work very well! Therefore I will give the coat an excellent rating.
Still, I sincerely hope that THIS exact coat will ultimately be offered in other colors too, because without any doubt, it pained me greatly to return such a soft, well-made coat. But back it went

Many compliments
Just what I was looking for, in a faux fur! Nice fit, very comfortable, soft, and great value. Stand collar can be worn down, also. But, is comfortable, worn either way. Nicely done. Not over the top, but classy. I have looked quite awhile, to find the right faux fur, for me. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I have yet, to find the olive, or rust, in the colors. Never-the-less, the colors are nice neutrals. This coat will go well with anything. I have recieved many compliments. Thank you, Dennis!

DB faux fur coats are getting better every year
I’d say this coat looks exactly as it is pictured. It is surprisingly soft, and very pretty. Whoever decided it was Rust/Olive is a horrible judge of color. It’s actually a combination of three colors. Deep chocolate, mild milk chocolate, and white chocolate [ivory]. I’ve tried year after year to find a DB coat that fit me the way I wanted and looked good and haven’t had luck until now. Because of the quilted lining I thought it might be a heavier weight but that’s not the case. It’s pretty much a lightweight coat, but probably provides plenty of warmth depending on what you wear it over. I like the fact that it isn’t fitted per se because that fitted DB silhouette never worked for me, even though I’m reed-thin, because I always felt constrained – as if I’m wrapped in something I can’t move in easily. This coat falls straight down [and is a tad A-line] from the shoulders. Has something of a ‘swing’ to it. If the cut reminds me of anything, it is a 1940s cut; a little retro but not overly so. I can raise my arms above my head and when I put them down, the fabric is so supple that the coat falls back into place by itself … I don’t need to readjust. The sleeves do cuff and I generally don’t like a cuff because it gets in the way of anything I hang over my arm and generally unrolls but in this case, the fabric isn’t stiff so the cuff is hardly noticeable – and it stays in place and isn’t the usual huge bunching of material at the end of my arm. I can wear an XS or a S. I ordered S and it’s okay, but I may return for the XS … so I can’t recommend sizing up unless you have a large bust, which I do not. In fact, DB coats always hang a little lower in front on me and I’ve wondered if this is because I am relatively small-busted. Maybe his coats are cut to always accommodate bigger busts? Fabric ‘texture’ visually looks very much like Persian Lamb, but feels softer to the touch than genuine Persian Lamb and there has never been a Persian Lamb born who is three colors of brown. Just observations not complaints. Love the button Stand Color – my favorite type along with Wing, but not so crazy about fur hooks – much prefer buttons. The pockets are thankfully good and deep and lined with satin. Wish they were lined with a brushed sherpa fleece, or a brushed tricot lining; both are warmer and softer to the touch.
