not the best Dennis Basso item I have bought. It kind of looks cheap. But I collect purses so I will keep it. May be use it one day or give to a nice. Would not buy a second :(

I really wanted to like this purse..
I just couldn't get past the cheap, clunky chain and clasp. I thought it was a poorly made purse. Back it went.

i bought the black mink to go with my dennis basso fur stole. i had been looking for a clutch bag and of course went straight to dennis basso. was delighted to find more than what i was looking for i love a muff. bought a sable one in europe and this is as good as the real thing. i bought a white one for my daughter she too loves it. cant stop buying dennis basso and i dont want to.

Perfect for our wicked winter weather!
I've had this for a month, and I can hardly believe how useful it's been. The size of the purse is realistic for being out and about, but still ultra-dressy.
It's an easy change off from gloves when I'm dressed up, and it definitely does the job of keeping my freezing hands warm.
I've received lots of compliments, and lots of enquiries as to whether it's available in more colors (I wish it were too!).
I wasn't sure it would work for me until I got it home, but it works so well that I'm really very glad I purchased!

Pretty Bag & Muff
I got the black mink bag. I think it is soft & nice size bag. Good for going out at night or church. For your hands it is soft inside. Hope to keep hands warm when no gloves or with gloves. I have Raynards so this should be perfect. As the chain you can just leave it inside. And maybe sew a loop for a wristlet. The chain isn't that great but, I love the purse The chain was why I gave it a four star..

I LOVE THIS PURSE!!!!!
Hadn't sent in a review before 'cause I figured this purse was so great everydody would review it. SO, now I'm correcting the error.
Bought the white one in November to go with a new white coat (also Dennis') and it is just great!!!!
Beautiful white satin lining, generous, deep, inside zipper pocket handles cell phone, money, cards & room to spare!
The chain is a very nice curb style with a good weight w/out being too heavy.
While the purse is generous & roomy, the lovely curve styling makes it appear petite & feminine. And, the kiss closure is a dream!
The BEST part .... a beautiful furry purse that gets comments wherever I go!! Lots & lots of them, w/out fail. Everyone wants one & "where did you get it?". They fall in LOVE w/the muff part (as did I) & think it's just the cutest thing (as do I).
The fur is not quite as soft as I expected but it's not rough.
A darling, very useable, nicely sized purse.
It's a luxury purchase you will LOVE!!

good idea but....
its a great idea, particularly for those of us who have hands that are extra sensitive to cold. But - I'd like to see it with a wrist cord, the faux fur on the inside (where it'll do the most good) and that lovely water resistant satin on the outside (snow, freezing rain). Please, Dennis - try again: warm muffs are literally the only things that keep my hands warm through a Portland winter and I'd like one that's more stylish than the ones football players wear on the sidelines! (yes, I really use one, but not by choice)

needs re-designed
I too felt this bag is a "good idea"....but needs re-designed.....the chain on the bag is a good length for me....but cheap looking....and the lining should be a light color so you can see into bag for what you are hoping to find....it's black on black....had to return bag....

Wonderful idea, but not quite there
I have a couple of fur muffs from the 40s, so I was so excited about this one. However, it didn't knock my socks off. The interior is black and creates a big black hole; the lining should be a different color. The chain is cheap looking, too long and should be removable. I love Dennis Basso and would love to see this idea brought back with some modifications. I also think the size is a tad too big. But the IDEA is great, just needs work.

lots of compliments
I received a lot of compliments from people that work at the store with the initials, NM. I forgot I was wearing the purse. When the lady at the CC purses said" I love your purse", I had to look down to see what she was looking at. It was this one! She thought it was real mink! I had a private chuckle. A huge one really. I love the purse because it is roomy and has a nice chain. The only thing that I cannot say is that I like the faux fur. It feels a little weird. I think he Dennis should upgrade the quality of the material. I like the French version of faux fur, Tissavel, I believe it is called. But I am a very spoiled woman!
