Denim & Co. Fit & Flare Denim Skirt with Pockets & Trim Detail
I didn't listen to negative reviews because their reasons didn't reflect my needs, and unfortunately, I have to return the item. I didn't mind having a lighter weight denim skirt and liked the idea of the little bottom pompoms. If you want a 'denim' skirt that might be 'professional' enough to wear to work in summer months, this item could work for you. Unfortunately, I wanted a true denim skirt and this one is more 'denim-like.' I like a very dark wash, which this is. However, I like a dark wash that is distinguishable from *black,* which this is not. Fit is okay. The back elastic is not a problem - at least it was not for me. If you don't mind taking a chance to find out for yourself, go ahead. Beware if you actually want a real denim skirt, not a pretender.
Just recvd yesterday. The skirt is just as expected. it is very nice. will order another.
It's heavy,it's shorter than shown, and a horrible texture. Going back. Fit is also bad
First of all, I like to design of the skirts, I sized down without any problems from an XL....
Cautionary: what I do not like, is the dyes Denim and Co. is using! find a new supplier.....ladies: I wore vinyl gloves using cold water the dyes penetrated and I had blue black hands for 3 days!!! Use heavy duty gloves if washing..
Even still, I washed both skirts multiple times and now dry, if the skirt becomes wet, the dye still rubs off!
This is not even 100 cotton, its a cotton blend with polyester. Proceed with caution
or like another reviewer stated, she is dry cleaning! Maybe she is on to something..
As to future purchases, I personally will proceed with caution! Hopefully D&C is listening..
I like it I order the the dark blue it look nice but only down is the elastic in the back go up a bit but nothing bad it still looks nice I order it in black too it not a short skirt I like it it great for a summer day going out even with a nice top for church
Very cute and easy to wear! I love having pockets, which usually keeps me from skirts, but the pockets on this are very nice. The elastic in the back does cause the skirt to pucker and pull up a bit in the back, but a nice loose fitting shirt covers it up.
Skirt, Tee, flip-flops and go!
For you if you don't like to take yourself too seriously! I think this is so cute for spring and summer. I adore the tiny pom-poms on the hem and side pockets. I think the flare is very flattering. I rarely am that crazy about skirts because they have no shape. Purchased this in the indigo which is a rich, deep navy. Its been so long since I've had a great denim skirt!
I usually love Denim and Co. skirts like this: they're a great alternative to shorts in the summer. But this one has to go back. Those goofy pom-pom things on the bottom draw the eye straight down to the hem-line, and the bottom of the knee/top of the calf is not going to be anyone's best feature. Furthermore, they're already not laying straight like they do in TV. They're all wrinkled and some are up and others are down. I thought maybe I could just cut them off, but they are sewn onto a strip at the hem which would fray if I started cutting. It's a shame to have to send this back: the flared bottom is quite flattering.
It's just OK
It looked lovely on the show but when I tried it on it seemed very big for a size Medium and didn't fit me properly. Perhaps the Small might have fit better but I went with the size chart and 10-12 is a Medium. It has a lot of pretty details but decided to send it back instead of reordering it in a Small.
I returned this item as I felt it was poorly made. The waistband was lumpy and looked a mess when worn.
Bought all 3
Returning all 3. Just didn't work on me. Too much of a flare at the hem, but I love the trim detail.
Nice quality but puckers at the pockets
I like this skirt however the elastic puckers, and on me, the pockets at the hips do not lay flat. Maybe the Medium, which is my normal size, is too large?
