E256797 - Dell XPS 17" Notebook Core i5, 6GB RAM, 500GB HD with Blu-ray
worst built ever
Not sure what Dell is doing, use to make excellent computers, now they are just plain and cheaply made, power coed would not even stay into a new computer 2 hours with falling out, I really don't think the i5 i7 processor are any faster than the dual core..
this the second i5 i bought and returned to QVC for performance reasons in 2 months. I think someone is selling QVC some over price junk.
the acer is my next try, more passive than neg reviews,
I would not recommend a SONY, they are SO VERY SLOW, extremely over priced by Sony
Buying two more
I got this so that I could play an mmo game and I travel quite a bit. It is big and heavy but I expect that for a laptop that can game. I was able to play SWTOR on the highest settings and it played very reasonable. I set it to more conservative settings and it was stellar. Going to get the wife and son one as well. The nature of the dual video card however is an issue if you want to put Linux on.
I received this laptop with a defective hard drive. QVC customer service was exceptional and treated me right when I called. I have purchased several Dell laptops over the past 12+ years. It appears the quality of my last two Dells have not been the same quality as they were when I started buying Dell.
I was excited when I got this item. After several hours of just trying to turn it on, I gave up and called Dell and QVC the next day. KUDOS to QVC customer service! Friendly and genuine!
