Dell Inspiron 17" Laptop - Core i7, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 877.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to use Mainly, the keyboard is set too far back on the base. There is 4-1/2 inches of space until you reach the keys. My wrists were being cut into by the edge of the computer. I get large indentation lines on my skin when I use it. Typing is slow compared to a desktop since the keys are very sensitive. The 5 updates I received would not load. I needed a Dell rep to spend nearly 2 hours to update everything. This is after I had a store do the initial installation a week ago. There are hundreds of features with no instructions on what they are. I have used a computer for over 20 years. This computer seems to be made for a technician, not the average user. After paying a large price for it, I was shocked to find it doesn't have MS Word 10 on it which is the only program I want. I could not get on most websites because the TLS security settings were not set to defaults after a security system was put on. Everyday has been a new aggravation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from keyboard I bought on Dell Desktop Dell Precision T3400 in 2007. The keyboard permited me type portuguese's symbols, but this Notebook does not. That was one Windows XP. In that occasion there are no complexe Windows differents types of keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Inspiron 17! I was hesitant to get another laptop as I have a desktop as well, but both are/were more than 8 years old and starting to really slow down. I am pleased with this computer, it is fast, responsive and intuitive. I already had Windows 10, so it has been a breeze. I highly recommend for a mid-range laptop not used for gaming, it is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far its great! I got this in Jan. so I have not had a lot of time to really see if its a good deal. So far it has done everything I needed it to do like run CAD programs and other design software. These are very processor and video intensive and so far I have had several open at once with no slow down or negative affect. Surfing the web is easy and I think the sound is great. Overall I am happy. I will update later after I have had it for some time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Painfully slow, do not recommend I purchased this laptop for basic use at home. Nothing special, I don't play heavy games on it, just the usual stuff that's too hard to do on a tablet but I didn't want to have a full desktop. I have found this to be ridiculously slow. Basic tasks (opening a program or even a folder on the desktop) can take minutes. I am constantly pulling up Task Manager to see what services are using the most memory so I can end them. Disk utilization is consistently at 100%. It doesn't matter if it's a good buy if it's unusable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Laptop Runs everything I need at work well, battery life is good and it recharges quickly. My biggest challenge was finding a brief case big enough to carry it.
